Not really, but I did reorganize the new user console code, which now allows them to be accessible by admins. This may come in handy if someone needs assistance or something...sorry, no new features for the average folk just yet.

More User Panel Stuff
The remaining new profile controls have been moved to the new user panel. They can be found either by going to your profile and clicking the [update] link, or going to wintreath.com while you are logged in.

Additionally, I have added the first profile tool to the panel, Notes, which is a text box that you can put notes in and save. This is similar to the notepad in Zetaboard forum profiles, which many NS regions use. I may build upon this tool in the future, depending on demand, time, and priority.

I use it to keep notes that I may want to access between computers, work on regional stuff over time, save important conversations and draft posts. Since I'm on the website continuously it's more convenient than using Pastebin.

Procedures in Law Library

On request from Hugsim, Underhusen and Overhusen procedures are now included in the Law Library.

Titles Up? Titles Down?

Based on a request from Denth Kasten, you can now specify from your user panel whether your member title will be above or below your name in posts. Since he wanted his above, his account was the guinea pig and you can see an example of this on any of his posts.

NationStates API Handler

This isn't really a big update for users, but it will support many future features of the website...essentially, the new API handler allows multiple scripts to request data from the NationStates API simultaneously without the risk of them going over the API rate limit of 50 queries every 30 seconds, which would lock the site out of the API for 15 minutes. The regional security script, the only script that currently pulls from the API, has been switched to the new system.

This allows me to add in future things that draw from the API.

That's all Latin to me, but sounds nifty.

New Nations Storage Scheme

Another update that changes nothing for users but will support new features in the future! The site now stores Citizen nations using its own scheme instead of through the forum custom fields, and is integrated with the forums to appear like it did before. The only functional difference is I'll need to add/change Citizen nations directly through the database temporarily.

Personal Messaging Updates

The pages for personal messages have been updated...mostly to reflect previous updates made when displaying posts, as well as to include the rounded edge style where it should be. Specifically, the following has been applied to PMs:

• The option to have user titles appear above the username
• The box displaying your primary usergroup, nation, region representing, family, etc.
• Emoticon box is now in the right place on the page to type PMs

Unrelated, the link to go to a specific post given on the top-right of each page now works on all pages. Previously it only worked if the post was on the first page of a topic.
