I tried to catch them ... and failed. Also, is it just me or is the Menu (Button linking to IRC and so on) at the top left of the forum blocked.

All those options are on the side menu of the index page now. The top menu is slated for demolition.

I like the new emotes set 

While the emotes set is nice, is there any good reason to remove the drop-down menu? Besides I would rather have a drop-down menu that's universally accessible on the forums, then a sidebar menu that's only accessible on one place of the forums. The only reason I see the need for a sidebar menu is the fact that mobile navigation would be easier, but at the same time forcing non-mobile users to use it is a horrible move, and could lead to a post decrease. At the very least include a top-menu for getting to the law and forums.

The menu is still operational from wintreath.com. That's how I got here just a minute ago

It is as of now, but Mootles discussed plans to remove it.

I've made some changes to the post page. Namely, I've added a new dedicated area for emotes, and added in a new angel emote (it was accidentally hidden by default). Also added the little blue strip at the bottom of the post area. It needs a little work, but is still a bit of an improvement.

The Civil Service
The Civil Service is now accessible to Citizens without them needing to sign up for it first. Hopefully this will streamline the process of getting involved further, and allow our Citizens to check out what's going on before committing to being involved in any way.

Old Menu
By request, the old menu is accessible again. However, due to size restrictions, it will not be updated with new links in the future. The sidebar on the index page is the most comprehensive menu on the site.

Embassies that were closed before we adopted the topic consulate system have been resurrected as locked "consulate" archives in the diplomacy area. You can now read the posts of the former embassies of The Allied Republics, The Kingdom of Britain and Ireland, Spiritus, The Communist Region, and The South Pacific.
