I feel that Mania Sims and UHL are generally running on the same platform. There aren’t major differences between them, other than activity. In regards to activity, Mania Sims sweeps the board as the most active candidate, both on the RMB and discord. Mania Sims' activity puts them ahead of UHL in my opinion. Saarenmaa comes in second for actvity, being pretty active but still beat by Mania Sims. Khaos and UHL fall significantly behind those two when it comes to activity, as they aren’t very active on discord or the RMB. While they’d likely pick up activity if they were elected delegate, I think being active already is a strong benefit.

While Saarenmaa is quite active, they are also very new, having been here only two weeks. Despite their strengths, I do not think they should be delegate because of this. Given more time here I think they would make an excellent delegate, and if another delegate selection occurs while they call Wintreath home I highly encourage them to run.

I think that out of all the delegate candidates, I support Mania Sims as the next delegate.

I hope it doesn't look like I'm putting a thumb on the scale...I'm still unsure of how the consensus-based process is supposed to work when it comes to replacing elections, though I've been trying to feel my way through it.

I completely agree with your assessment, though. I would add that UHL has a lot of promise, between his persistent activity on the MC server, posts on the forums, and interest in bringing games to the region (from his profile). I would like to see him grow further and help with that if I'm able to.

Khaos is great to have here, and I think falls in the mold of some of our earliest delegates like Reon and HannahB (De La Malverna and A Unified Earth, just pulling their nation names from memory). I think he would be fine...I think everyone would be fine in fact, but I don't think it would be fair over people who are more active in the moment.

Saarenmaa has a lot of general NS experience and has been getting more involved in the community, but I would like to personally see him grow more in the community first...I think there is something to be said for taking time to settle into a place first, get a feel for the community.

But I do think that Mania Sims has the best feel for the community at this time and has been regularly active on here and the RMB for some time to boot, and for those reasons I too would support him as the next delegate.

If that's ultimately the consensus of the community, I know he's indicated he would like some help in the position, and I wonder if it's help that others running could provide if they'd like. This is probably the best group of delegate candidates overall in our history, and I believe that anyone who wants to be involved and contribute to Wintreath in some way should have the opportunity to.

As one of the possible delegates who are running for the position, remember, endorsements don't settle an election. Your votes do. So, vote for who you personally believe is the most fit, regardless of any endorsements.
