I mentioned in my intro post that I was brought into the furrydom through the film Zootopia, right?

Well, I just got presented this by the YouTube algorithm. It knows me well.

I feel I now have the brain power needed to answer this question, so let me do so.

I think honestly, it was the dual power of the world building and the relationship between the two main characters. When you make such a well defined and believable world, and inhabit it with characters that are likable and unique, and you play on those two strengths, then the story you tell is equally enjoyable as a result. I enjoyed learning about what made things in Zootopia tick, and how these characters work their way through the system to uncover the mystery of the city and connect.

Then obviously, the fanfiction (as it often does) takes it to a whole new level. There are so many fics which follow the main pair becoming a pair, sometimes a meet the parents, sometimes a trip to Bunnyburrow, sometimes a trip out with the rest of the squad or more detective work together.

So yeah, there's a lot there that really pulled me in and I would definitely say it's one of my favourite Disney movies.

From what I read, the movie came out in 2016...that would make you a relatively recent convert to furrydom? That would mean you came into it about when I started to, which you don't expect of people in their 20s and 30s.

In any case, I might give it a watch if I have the opportunity to. I need to get into the habit of trying new things.
