Wintreath's Chocolate Cake Diplomacy
What would you do for chocolate cake?
It started with some unknown dispute within the nations of WARPP, but exploded onto the NationStates RMB with this announcement from the nation of Holy Spire regarding relations between themselves and the nations of Dashiki City and The Greenlandic North. Quoted from Holy Spire:
Even though relation with Dashiki City and The Greenlandic North were always very positive, a recent discussion about a confidential matter changed that. After seeing Greenlandic and dashikin governments unite against holy Spirean desires , holy spire has decided to temporarily close borders with both nations and deport all Greenlandic and dashikin citizens living in holy spire to zazibari to be kept on a medium security prison.
These changes will be in place until diplomatic relation return to normal
The sudden announcement of tensions between these formerly friendly nations brought dismissal from Dashiki City, sanctions from The Greenlandic North, and utter dismay from The Stigyan Triumvirate, the Founder and Co-Director of WARPP. The New Narag Empire, however, took an entirely different approach to addressing the schism between their fellow WARPP nations. Quoted from New Narag Empire:

The Cake would Arrive in a Few hours At the Rose palace.
This response to the tensions immediately won praise from leaders throughout the region, with Wintermoot declaring it "without a doubt the best RP post ever in the history of Wintreath", a sentiment that Uniopolis agreed with. Chocolate cake was then promptly distributed to many nations in Wintreath Oprah-style. However, this did not end the matter, because Holy Spire's attempt to unilaterally end the tension was rejected by Dashiki City for a surprising reason. Quoted from Wintermoot:

After much ponderation over the consequences of having negative relations and an embargo placed on us by dashiki, the spirean government decided to attemp~t a peacefull conclusion to the tensions.
It was decided that a royal envoy was to be sent to Dashiki City with chocolate cake and a letter simply saying "Sowwy". Together with the envoy is a golden chest filled with rubies and gold as a gift to the dashikin government.(the chest contains around 150 million ducats worth of jewelry).

"Mr. Tican, a Royal Envoy sends a gift." says a receptionist, holding a box "Let me have a look, it's probably something completely worthless" says the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Forieg Tican. He starts to open the box "We're keeping this for at least a month, those Spirean bastards can't just buy us with worthless gifts like potions or magi-" he stops as soon as he opens the box, a perfectly baked chocolate cake. He starts to tear up at the sight of such a well baked cake. The moistness to the texture it is absolute perfection, with a note that says "Sowwy". The frosting of it perfectly twisted and compliments the color of the cake. "open trade back up." he says quietly
A message is sent to Holy Spire, trade is now back open between the two.
Trashkanistan73 then arrived on the scene, eager to take part in a new war RP but arriving several hours too late to influence events in that direction. So what's the lesson here? North Gralend) has proposed making Michi a Paragon, which is one of the highest honours that can be given to somebody in Wintreath. Paragons are people who are recognized for long-running and exceptional contributions and accomplishments in Wintreath by making them permanent Citizens. Only 5 Citizens have been made Paragons in Wintreath's history, the last being
Point Breeze in 2017, making even the discussion of naming a new Paragon an extremely rare occassion.
Landsraad Procedural Rules Update Discussion OpenedChancellor
Svipjoth has opened a discussion on updating the procedural rules for Wintreath's legislature, which is still operating under the provisional rules laid out by
Wintermoot when the Landsraad was first created in March 2021. Svip also laid out her own ideas for modifications, including requiring candidates for Chancellor to name the person they plan to name as Vice-Chancellor during the election and aligning Chancellor elections with Thane elections.
