Hello, everyone, my name is Arenado and I'm running for the Chancellorship! I would like to lay out my experience with legislation and what my goals would be for this term.

First, I would like to lay out my previous experience in government and legislation. I've previously served in the 12th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 29th, 30th, 34th and 36th Underhusens, I served as the Speaker of the 34th Underhusen, I've written and passed legislation, such as the Definition of Abstention Act and the HannahB Commendation Act. I was part of the original Constitutional Convention that attempted to implement an Open Legislature. Outside of Wintreath, I worked on legislation in Thalassia, such as the 2nd Constitution, where I was one of the authors of it. I've always had an eye for legislation and I enjoy working on it.


As for my goals in this term, I have 2 main goals I want to work towards.

First, I want to codify a permanent procedural ruleset, such as codifying the position of Vice Chancellor and its responsibilities.

Second, I would like to work on Citizenship Reform. There was a discussion a few month ago on the discord about some ideas on Citizenship Reform and I would like to hold a discussion and work on legislation to that end.

Why do you want to become Chancellor on a personal level? What drives your ambition to take it on?

What do you see as the future of the Landsraad in general? What role will it play in Wintreath? Given that it was inactive for over a year, and the previous Underhusen was chronically inactive, do you feel a legislature is even required in Wintreath?

I've always has an interest in legislation, its an area I enjoy working in and an area I have some skill in. I also always enjoy a challenge and I think that I can rise to the challenge of being Chancellor and I will strive to do so.

I think a legislature is needed, its one of those things that is better to have and not need than need and not have. Having an area that allows people to have a say in government as well as gaining experience is always a good thing, even if it never sees mass activity.
