  • @BraveSirRobin: Thanks for the links, they were fascinating to read! It's interesting that even in Denmark, they're having issues where only the wealthier people can afford to move somewhere like Saettedammen. That's part of the problem...the rich can afford to have any living arrangement they want, and everyone else can only hope they can afford to keep a roof over their heads. I had to laugh at how a portion of their initial community was mostly interested in free love...it's a concept I'm interested in exploring (in the confines of doing it with close friends...people I already have an emotional bond with), but even I wouldn't advocate for public nudity, lol.

I guess when it comes to the teamhouse, I imagine it'd start out with a small group of people living together as housemates in a house or an apartment. That wouldn't be too out of the ordinary since a lot of people have to take on housemates to start with. I've checked rentals in various locations, and in most places a large place (so each person could at least get their own bedroom and bathroom) would be affordable if 3 or 4 people went in together on it. Then as we grew I imagine we'd either buy land and develop small houses and cabins on it with central facilities for everyone (which seems to be how Saettedammen is organized) or purchase an apartment building or hotel and remodel it for our own needs.

I don't imagine a Wintreath teamhouse/community growing much larger than that. I believe there's such a thing as getting too big, and I think that's one of the problems with society...companies have gotten too big, governments have gotten too big, cities have gotten too big, communities have gotten too big...it makes for an impersonal world, which is the exact opposite of what Wintreath is. So I see us as at most being more a tribe at most than a grand movement...though hopefully if it worked out other groups would mirror what we do!

I'm hoping to start a teamhouse group soon for people who are interested in the idea, and I'm going to keep those links as a reference for that. Thanks for that again ^-^
