  • The problem largely being that any negative effect could torpedo the positive inroads we've made into regrowth in the Werewolf scene after I believe a year without a single game.

However I've got no more questions really so none of this matters ultimately.

  • Hey there! I have to admit, I can't remember the last time we had such a competitive election for anything, where I couldn't make a decision after giving it a few minutes of thought. So after reading everyone's campaigns, I have some questions...some are specific to you, and some I'm going to be asking everyone running.

    1) You're the only candidate who didn't mention anything about the other Werewolf communities that we share players with such as Mafia Universe. Was this an oversight, or do you feel like it's best that we focus on the players and potential players that are already in Wintreath?

    2) We're involved in quite a few areas that compete for time and attention, especially from me: NationStates, Werewolf, and other forum and Discord games. If you had to split the time and energy we put into each as percentages (so they add up to 100%), what would that split be and why? Do you ever foresee a time when Werewolf is a more prominent aspect in Wintreath than NationStates?

    3) One of the unique aspects of the Summer season is the Summersend festival, which happens in August. What sort of Werewolf-related ideas and events are you thinking for the festival?

    4) Overall I feel like your campaign is essentially a back to basics campaign: not as idea-heavy as, say, Abbi's campaign, but more focused on doing the things we're already doing better. Is that a fair assessment? If so, do you feel that that's the way to go over implementing new things?

    5) All the competition in this election is stiff...what do you bring to the table for Werewolf that none of your competitors do?

Thank you for your answers in advance! :)

    1) I feel like our connection to Mafia Universe is already strong, I focused my campaign on growing the game among the local Wintrean population because I feel like that is an area where the game can be expanded. I don't intend to neglect Mafia Universe, by any means, and I do intend to work with other people like Lau to keep that connection strong if I am elected, by the main focus of my term would be to reach out to the local community, engage with them and grow our potential player base here. I think that would be a benefit to all involved, especially future hosts.

    2) I'd say 15% NationStates, 20% Werewolf, 40% Discord and 25% forum activity. I think Werewolf is already a more prominent part of Wintreath that NationStates, in terms of actual activity with gameside matters, we don't really spend a lot of time engaging with NS much anymore, from what I observe. Other than recruitment and the RMB, our NS activity is relatively minor, at least, from my perspective.

    3) I think there are a couple of ideas that we could work on, a themed, short WW game, perhaps a One Night Ultimate Werewolf game or something similar. I definitely think there is something we could organize for Summersend.

    4) I do think I bring some ideas to the table, such as the rating system, but I also think its fair to say that my campaign is a more back to basics one, where the focus of my term would be building upon what is already there and building up our local player base.

    5) I think that whoever wins this election, Werewolf will be in good hands. I know the other candidates and I know them all to be good people who will do the best they can do with the role. We're all long time Wintreans who love this game and wish to see it grow. What I can offer most is a different perspective and different policies. My ideas and my goals for this term is what sets me apart from the other candidates, more than anything else. I can only ask for your vote and hope to enjoy the confidence of the electorate come election day.

Thank you for the questions, Moot :]

Last time I ran One Night for Summersend, I feel like it wasn't treated enough as a different game and as a result the activity floundered and ended up being lackluster. But now that significant interactions, reads, and high activity are expected for D1, combined with all the mechanical information that One Night does provide, perhaps Wintreath is now ready for a game of One Night.
