Thane elections are over, and the short end of it is that the incumbents won! I suppose that means the community is happy with the performance of our Thanes of Gaming, Embassies, and WA Affairs, so congrats to @Marzipan, @TGN, and @Michi! That said, the election for each position weren't 3 carbon copies of each other. Michi swept the board in the WA Affairs election, while the Embassies election was much more competitive and had a large number of abstentions. Either way, congrats also to @Neon Abigail, @Altrio, and @Joslisonoria on running solid campaigns. I hope you will all continue to be involved in Wintreath and will run in future elections.

Now we come to the matter of the rest of the Summer Cabinet...those vacancies left open by Silv's departure. As you may have noticed, we are eliminating the Werewolf ministry and returning the position to thane status under the Ministry of Culture. I certainly think there's room for a Ministry of Werewolf in the future, but as a government position it has to live to its promise first, and I believe it can get a good start at it as part of the Ministry of Culture. Due to so much interest already expressed in the position, we have decided to run a special election for it, which will be up shortly. On the other hand, I have no news to give for the Jarl of Foreign Affairs position. As you know, it's a particularly difficult role to fill, but I do have an idea on how to go about filling the position, and will provide more information as soon as I can.

But for now, congrats to everybody who ran in the election and to everyone who won. I'm looking forward to working with all of you.

I might've not won today, but atleast I managed to achieve my goal for the elections; spook TGN.
I had fun this week seeing campaigns popping up left and right, citizens both experienced and new throwing their hats into the ring, and watching my competitor's moves.

I look forward towards the next thane elections. I might even win, who knows...

I am kinda curious about something...why did you run for Thane of Embassies instead of Thane of Foreign Releases? It seems to me like Foreign Releases would have dovetailed nicely with what you've been doing with our consulates in TRR and TSP.
