Elections Are Coming!Welcome to this week’s edition of
The Frosty Bugle! With the vast majority of activity in Wintreath revolving around our Werewolf game (1,326 posts as of writing this!), this will be a small but still informative update. Besides Werewolf, we have several contests to talk about, new rules for international alliances on the NationStates side, and all kinds of new forum discussions, so be sure to check it out.
While we’re at it, did you know that we’re now two-thirds of the way through the Winter term? Elections are in just a few weeks, so if you want to run now is the time to start planning! What position do you want to run for, and why? What do you want to bring to the table? If you’re running for re-election, what have you brought to the table that you believe you need to keep bringing? Here’s a quick list of positions in case you’re interested in joining our government team:
- Thane of Gaming: organizes gaming events and promotes the gaming community
- Thane of Roleplay: organizes and promotes roleplay throughout Wintreath
- Thane of Foreign Releases: helps put together dispatches and information that goes to our partners
- Thane of Embassies: helps keep our embassies active and looks to open embassies with new partners
- Thane of Regional Affairs: helps keep the NationStates page peaceful and within the rules
- Thane of World Assembly Affairs: serves as our delegate and representative to the NS World Assembly

The winter elections were such a success, and I hope one that will be repeated in the spring with many people choosing to throw their hats in the ring. Hope to see you there as a candidate or a voter, but in the meantime,

Autovote and Vote Counting Come to WerewolfAs the current game of Werewolf progresses,
Wintermoot coded new features to allow players to automatically register their votes and for those votes to be automatically counted. This saves work for players and hosts who before had to read through previous posts and count votes themselves to get an understanding of where the game was at.
Jarl of Regional Affairs
Dawsinian announced the creation of Ministry Rule 001, which requires that alliances between 3 or more nations in Wintreath register with the ministry and provide information on membership and government documents. The purpose is to allow the government to better understand the status of alliances in the event that they come into conflict with each other.

Wintermoot, both have been nominated for Wintreath’s Finest: Dawsinian for being helpful with activity on the RMB and Discord, and Wintermoot for going beyond the expectations of the role of Founder. Vote for the person you feel is most deserving of this honour here!
