Although I'm as busy as ever, lately I've done a better job of organizing my time to the point that I feel comfortable trying to host a game. The question is, what game from me would you like to see?
The options are Mage Wars, Clickwar, and Arena. I have ideas for building on each game, so no game would be like the last one played, but at the same time I would like to keep the ideas a bit of a surprise. Any game that I run wouldn't start until after taulover's Arena game, but I'd like to know which game I should get started on working on.
If you haven't played any of these games before, here's a description of each:Arena is our RPG combat game. You create a character, choose your class and abilities, and then fight each other with turn-based combat until there's a winner. It's been played both with and without a map, but any game I hosted would use a map because I think it adds something to the strategies. To see Arena in action, check out
taulover's current game, which includes a map.
Mage Wars is kind of like forum Battleship. You're a mage on a map with tower that has the ability to target any other point on the map, and your goal is to find and eliminate the other players. Along the way, you can also discover creatures and items that may improve your abilities or give you new ones. It's also turn-based with turns running every day or so. hereClickwar is a MMO-clicker game, meaning that you're fighting other players over parts of the map and your one and only weapon is your mouse. Click a tile to gain a point over it. The player with the most points on each tile has their colour displayed on it and gets to name the tile. Each tile also has a log so you can see the full history behind it. You can see an example of Clickwar
here.
