Clearly I got bored after working on the concept for over three hours, and clearly it needs to be about 10 blocks wider to accommodate a proper mansion and not just a tower, not to mention the base should be fleshed out much nicer, but here's something of a rough concept of the whole floating island over a pit idea.

But mostly chose grassland because it's the most flat of biomes.  I suppose we could burn down forests too if we want haha.  And I don't think the most pleasing shades of grass (ie Jungle) are anywhere in our vicinity of the world 

There's a jungle north of my land I cleared a good chunk of. I'm not planning on doing anything with it, so it's yours if you want it. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact coords.

My thoughts, in order of visiting:

Location 4:
It's alright, some nice flat plains land

Location 5:
Wow that's a big village. Personally don't like setting up too near them since that's how you decimate their population. Nice mix of the plains and the classic forest/spruce

Honestly the Savanna M (or Shattered Savanna, as it's now called) near locations 4/5 might interest me more than these two locations, lol. like woah that desert mountain cliff waterfall is cool

Location 6 (Ruguo's suggestion):
Nice location to build a flower farm I like the way the river bends

Location 3:
It would be nice/interesting to build/terraform around the mountains. Nice valleys, nice plains nestled within them. A number of locations in this area would be interesting, definitely like this area. The valley slightly northeast of the coords (near the Lamplighter Challenge tower, which is on the other side of some mountains) is also quite nice. I quite like this area.

Location 2:
Also alright flat plains land, a few neat coves

Some more things that I found while I was searching for distant end portals near my base, yesterday:

Location 7: -2206 7431
Glacier facing a coastal 1.14 plains village. Nearby biomes include swamp, a small forest hills, and a flower forest, as well as a pillager outpost (so be careful not to trigger a raid lol).

Location 8: -2130 8348
Basically, straight south of the small glacier in Location 7 is a huge glacier. If we're serious about building in a glacier this would totally be it

Location 9: -3427 7034
Another Glacier facing a coast 1.14 plains village, which is surrounded by a savanna and a desert. Some turtles nearby

Location 9a:
Nice flat coastal plains area, also facing glacier, east of Location 9, in between locations 7 and 9. Potentially a very good location after in-game discussion with BSR and Colberius.

Location 9b:
Northern-facing coastal plains area west of Location 8.

Location 10: -3707 7505
Coastal abandoned savanna village, also facing a small glacier.

Location 11: -4747 6646
Another nice flat plains area with a neat river and a 1.14 village, some wooded hills and desert nearby (as well as an end portal actually quite nearby lol).

So question: how friendly to our lore do we wanna be here?: Because the last location sounds perfect if we want to be very lore friendly.

As friendly with it as you want Lau!    But yeah these are all actually quite close so we can probably create a survey more completely of the region bwetween -2000, 6000 and -4000, 8000.  That's a 8 km^2 chunk with lots of nice places and cool stuff.  So narrowing our search vicinity into that would be quite fun

So Colby and I were messing around on the server, and actually we think that there might be a rather close spot where we have ample room to set up shop as Valeria.  Namely, roughly -750 -1000 area is really nice and has lots of grassland and various biomes surrounding

Definitely a good candidate to consider, especially from a logistical standpoint

It's close to the witch farm site which is neat, as long as we don't build too close and interfere with the spawning radius.

Looks like someone also has a small manual bee nest/tree farm set up there? As well as a nether portal in the flower forest? Unless that was you two.

I'm not opposed to this spot, though it is kinda close to other things, and I do kinda prefer the southerly coastal locations we scouted out previously just for the sorts of landscapes in that area.

Okay, I need to reinstall my Minecraft tonight. Should be able to help scout tomorrow and the day after.

It's got plains, mountains, a flower forest, nearby ice bergs, a cute little pool next to but not-quite-touching the ocean, and a shipwreck that's just barely poking out of the sand.


Also, you get water access to the Ponderosa River, and by extension Ponderosa, Tarrinian, and the other coastal lands. You'll see it in the corner as Cape Flower:
 

Ooh cool will have to check it out! Hopefully once Lau gets minecraft installed again we'll be able to maybe begin building soon at one of these sites!

Also I messed up, it would have to be Location 12.

The one I really liked was called Location 9a, so that's not very indicative of my enthusiasm for various locations.

I'm sorry, but Cape Flower sounds a lot more exciting than Location 12. I would not want to market Location 12.

Definitely in the past though. There are signs in a lot of spots because 16-year-old me was much more creative albeit also more cringey.
