I haven't been online in FOREVER but would love to help out when time permits! I do enjoy the old location but if y'all have better places, go for it! We could keep in a snowy biome for the Wintreath aesthetic, but honestly I'm down for anywhere. Excited to see where this goes!

I still haven't quite figured out Minecraft, nor have I put much effort into it, but I will for this.

I only have bedrock edition so I don't think I can join you 

Hurray!  So yeah anyway essentially this would be a group base so we should try to poke around places on the server where we could build.  My only personal stipulation is that we're far enough from Spawn to be fine and also that we avoid West as a direction because that direction is hyperbuilt up at this point haha

And @Hydra reminder on the coords of the old location?  I think it'd be fun to try, but also I'm hesitant because I also think it might be handy to build in "newer" chunks that have more ready access to things like bees, etc.

So I've done a quick survey, and currently there are several contenders: 

Possible Locations:

• Coordinates: 530, 1850
  Looks good, standard valley, overall also secluded
• Coordinates: 1022, 3052
  Similar to 1, rather nice location, but could be various things
• Coordinates: 1651, 2145
  Excellent size, and also there's a village in the vicinity (really good).
  Also, in close vicinity to Peacefield, which was initially going to be a planned community expansion of Wintreath, but has since fallen deserted.  The benefit to this location is also that we would be able to construct a spur of of the existing railway to the base should we so choose.
• Coordinates: 2048, 717
  Similar advantages to Site 3, but slightly differently located.  Overall also worth looking at
• Coordinates: 3284, 787
  Has a new (post Village upate) village, so no need to capture and acquire villagers.
  Also provides ample land and relative seclusion

Well, that's what I found!  But interestingly, there's also what appears to be a Marine Institute at 2637, -2959!  I recommend checking it out guys it's quite cool!

If you guys need villagers, just know I can easily provide them to any place on the coastline. The completion of the river and Port Conifer makes that a very simple task.

Well, that's what I found!  But interestingly, there's also what appears to be a Marine Institute at 2637, -2959!  I recommend checking it out guys it's quite cool!   

Yep, that's my fish adoption center. It used to be a shop, but turns out giving people random fish is more fun.

Visited location 5 first, was underwhelmed.

Location 4 was better, the hilly region in the distance is a nice touch and has promise. The big round pond is a nice place too.

Location 1 has mountains too, I like that. It is very generic, but it has snow, so it's okay.

I do like the little cove area near location 2. The birch forest has good potential for bee generation if a search were to be started. Honestly my favourite so far.

Location 3 is interesting, but it seems a little too boring. It's very safe, nothing to write home about.

 I did find a cute little place on the way to it though, surrounded by dark oaks and flowers, a bit of swamp too. 1672, 2718 area, It's in need of a little terraforming (ravines are a little in the way) but overall is a very nice area.

I'm also curious about the possibility of building in an iceberg field. I just think an iceberg build could be cool.

Yeah my personal favorites are 2, 3 and 4.  I just wanted to know what we were looking at. 

Aesthetically ideally we're doing something that is Victorian or Medici Mansion-esque which can have sprawling "gardens" etc where we can put farms, etc.  I also like the idea of a giant hole to bedrock with further rooms off the sides on various levels, but that's just me and that could be unnecessarily complicated. 

I like the partial surround of taller mountains because that gives promise for nice Elytra fun for sure.  And I was restricted by the size, because size is definitely something we're going to want for a complex of 5 or 6 people  

Overall though if we're willing to terraform lots as a group that definitely opens up additional locations for sure!

Why not both? Spooky vicorian mansion on a floating island over a massive hole with various other chunks of earth around it that can be gardens or outhouses, rickety bridges across the void to various types of forests...

Any details on the biomes of each of the locations? I feel like that's pretty important for the grass color, potential snow complications and/or needs, maybe possible farms, etc.

I have Valeria Manor waypointed as -49 -653.

Not sure about need for bees though, once you have two it's fine to just breed them up, lol.

Indeed I too have that location.  Though there's other stuff in that location I believe now, and also it's in a relatively developed part of Wintreath now xD

They're all grassland so far, I mostly chose those surrounded by mountains on at least one side to give us a bit more of a "valley" feel,

But mostly chose grassland because it's the most flat of biomes.  I suppose we could burn down forests too if we want haha.  And I don't think the most pleasing shades of grass (ie Jungle) are anywhere in our vicinity of the world 

But I'm open to location suggestions if you'd like to suggest others!

Ooh I'm liking this Por Que No Los Dos idea.  Ooh spooky mansion?  I don't think we're haunted ;p

But yeah definitely a fan of various forests and mountainsides for sure
