VALERIA MANORHello Friends! 

It has come to my attention that we need to finally get around to building the Great House of the Greatest House of Wintreath—In Minecraft! 

If you haven't seen the remarks that I made in the Robin Inc "Quarterly" Report about this project, I encourage you to do so!  Essentially, I want to make sure Valeria Manor is freaking awesome and REALLY big.  It doesn't necessarily have to be quite as big as I initially declared (1 km^2) but hey, shoot for the moon right? 

So.  I will create a "TO-DO" list here and update it as we move along in the project.  So, without further ado:

• Settle on a Location for the Manor.
  I'm not entirely sure what biomes we're imagining/want to include in the complex, but I do belive we will want at least a bit of marsh for a slime farm.  That would be convenient for sure.
• Generate possible designs or themes for the Manor
  Do we want an inner "castle-esque" main Manor House, surrounded by a larger curtain wall and a "town" with loads of variety?  Perhaps a Viking Village aesthetic?  A sleek modern building?  Really, propose anything!
• Figure out resource requirements
  This sounds boring perhaps, but it is kind of useful.  If we're going to want to be using a lot of clay and such, we can mine a load of it from some of the Mesa biomes and store it at Robin Castle with /spawn command and then use that back and forth to be able to transport things quickly from mining sites to the construction site?
• MORE THINGS!!!
  Seriously!  I hope this can be a whole Valeria effort, so please!  Suggest as much as you'd like!

Settle on a Location for the Manor.
I'm not entirely sure what biomes we're imagining/want to include in the complex, but I do belive we will want at least a bit of marsh for a slime farm.  That would be convenient for sure.

Swamp is non-ideal for slime farms; far better to find a slime chunk (which are everywhere) and build your slime farm there. It's harder to do on this server since you don't know the seed, but it's definitely doable still.

I believe we had a location scouted out back in the day that's still marked, if we want to go with that one?

One other promising possibility that came up when I was discussing this with Hydra last year is a Victorian manor house style mansion.

Boring?! Logistics is possibly the most interesting part of large projects like these!

Any material that we'd be using in large quantities (concrete, rocks, wood, quartz, blackstone, prismarine, etc.) I'd be down to help build good farms for.

I did stumble across the marked location the other day, and kept passing back and forth near it during my quest for bees. Conveniently close to multiple inns, and very near where I'm setting up an out-of-town base for myself.

Brick/andesite/terracotta/red wood may make for a nice combo, but I don't think a Victorian mansion necessarily needs to be that red color. A sandstone/birch/mushroom combo might also be good for that aesthetic for instance, or maybe something completely different (like for instance, Grian's current Hermitcraft mansion with the grey palette + dark green prismarine/wood colors + spruce/dark oak browns).

To be clear by terracotta I mean the block formerly known as hardened clay, which was initially your proposed block idea. Definitely requires manual grind to harvest though, unlike most other blocks, maybe concrete would be a viable alternative.

Different block, more "true" solid colors than terracotta, and yeah it's a completely different block.

Ooh fun!  Looks like we will have to be collecting A LOT of sand and gravel hahaha

Gravel's legit renewable via piglin bartering, and really all falling block entities are renewable via a certain unintended mechanic
