SummaryThe Chanku Censure Act was created to denounce several outbursts from Chanku on the Discord chat server which the community took issue to. Specifically, the Act mentioned an outburst where she aggressively confronted the then-Speaker of the Underhusen for not following tradition in splitting a discussion and vote and then cursed him out, and another outburst a few days later where she implied that the Citizens were "sometimes idiots".
The events involving and including The Chanku Censure Act are considered a forerunner to the events of The Schism, an explosive period of distrust and conflict between members of the community that led to the departure of a number of members and nearly destroyed the community entirely. Specifically, the Act was created in frustration by members who felt that Chanku had not been appropriately punished for her outbursts by the Discord ops team. Along with other grievances, this led to the impression that the ops team was incompetent and showed favoritism. On the other hand, after failing to discover the widespread outrage over the handling of these events that this group of members privately claimed, the ops team came to believe that they were being used as pretext in a conspiracy to place their own members on the ops team.
This and other events would set the stage for the explosive confrontations the following month that would mark the start of the Schism.

4. Therefore, this Storting hereby officially censures Chanku for her actions as outlined in Section 6 and 7.
5. This Storting hopes Chanku will take this as a signal to change her behavior, to apologize to the community for her actions and that this sends a message to the community as a whole that abusive and toxic behavior will not be tolerated by any citizen of Wintreath, especially from a member of government.

Statement
8. This Storting does hereby censure Chanku for the above mentioned incidents. We express our profound disappointment and disapproval for her behavior. We also express that we will not tolerate bullying, willfully toxic behavior or any other form of abuse from so prominent a citizen, a member of government and a citizen previously honoured by the Storting. We also warn Chanku that if such behavior continues the Storting will not tolerate it and will take further action as needed.
