Elections have concluded! In addition to the regular Underhusen election, this election also included the ratification of the FLAMES Act, a Constitutional Amendment to dissolve the Storting and grant legislative authorities to the Monarchy. Obviously the potential ramifications of this election were great, and attracted a lot of attention in the region. The details of both elections are below.

Ratification of the FLAMES Act
By far, the ratification was the more active election, with 29 Citizens taking part, including 3 private votes! That's not a surprise given how long this issue has been discussed in the region and how intensely people on both sides felt about it. At the end of the election, there were 21 votes for and 8 votes against, meaning that 72.41% of voters supported it, meaning that the ratification has passed.

Underhusen Election
Due to the ratification of the FLAMES Act, the Underhusen along with the Storting is dissolved. However, because there was still a vote, I thought we should still know who would have won. Only 15 Citizens voted in this election including 2 private votes, and of those 8 voted abstain at least once. The results are:

*There were a total of 18 abstain votes.

I would say congrats to the winners, but...yeah. At least you know that you had the support of so many of your fellow Citizens, and that has to count for something.

As my final statement as chair of the Overhusen, thank you to everyone who participated in either the Underhusen or the Overhusen during my tenure, it has been an honour serving the Storting and working alongside you.

Thanks to everyone who fought against this bill, whether because you feel it was the wrong route for abolishing the Storting or simply because you like the Underhusen. Your work has given the amendment the scrutiny it deserved, and ensured that the new framework put into place is thought-out and workable.

Now let's work together with our Monarch to ensure that our new system is a good one.
