Nay.  I appreciate what the act wants, but I disagree with  breaking down the entire system before having a backup ready to go.

Aye. The system just isn't working, no point in my humble opinion in strying to resusciate it artificially.

I believe that criticisms to the effect of "why get rid of it without something to replace it" are entirely valid, and I really hope to see people working towards an improved governance mechanism very quickly.

That said, we've been pushing and pulling this matter apart for nearly an entire decade (almost as long as we've had the Underhusen there's been discussion about what would work better and be more inclusive). Eventually there comes a point where you have to make a jump into unknown waters and trust in the community to build something new.

This is as good an opportunity to come together and work out what it is we actually want from government in Wintreath, what boundaries to set for it, where it sits on the IRL-to-RP scale in terms of its authority, and how it can be used as a tool not just for creating laws but fostering involvement and engagement.

Hell, we might end up with an only slightly modified version of what we have now, but starting from first principles forces us to actually do something.

Here's to another fractious, chaotic and exciting decade in Wintreath!

Mostly because I'd prefer the bill included a replacement for the UH system, be it Open Assembly or whatnot, rather than just destroying it and hoping for something better.

We've tried BSR, we really, really have. The fact of the matter is, we've proposed 5+ solutions or compromises, but somebody has a nitpick somewhere, and the whole damn thing gets blocked. Wintreath needs to adapt, and we're not going to if we're not even gonna start progress forward.

I love the Underhusen, its the first thing that got me active in Wintreath, but I don't see any other path forward, I vote Aye. Underhusens have tried and unfortunately failed at keeping the institution active, with the only thing keeping it active are basically elections. And its not like the Skrifa are inactive, they are sometimes one of the most active in the region, but the Underhusen just doesn't have that necessity in the region as it once did.
