As the Thane of Integration, I am proud to announce our very first recruitment contest! This is an initiative that will hopefully allow our citizens to learn a little more about recruiting and how it helps our region. Each task is worth a certain number of points, and the person with the most points at the end wins a custom userbar, as well as a discord color role!
Tasks:
1. Visit the Recruitment Guide: https://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?topic=5566.0 (1 pt)
The recruitment guide has a detailed guide of how to set up your nation to begin recruiting! If your nation is not authorized to recruit, you will need to send a direct message to Wintermoot so he can give your nation permission to recruit for Wintreath. Visiting the guide is worth 1 point.
2. Set up your first recruitment telegram. (3 pts)
Once again, refer to the guide and the images for how to set up a recruitment telegram. To get the prewritten text for the telegram, visit
https://wintreath.com/forums/index.php?topic=3123.0. This lists the exact text that we can send to new nations to encourage them to join Wintreath. I recommend you take a look at the official guide for how to set up a telegram, but for an abridged version:
-Visit nationstates and begin drafting a new telegram. In the to: field, write tag:template. A dropdown should appear, make sure you check that this is a recruitment template (this is very important, this box MUST be checked!)
-Copy and paste the text from the call into the body of the telegram. Then hit send!
-You will be provided with a template key, which should start and end with %. You can directly copy and paste this key into the body of recruitment telegrams in order to display the full telegram. You can access this key from your sent telegrams folder in your inbox if you ever lose it.
Completion of this task is worth 3 points.
3. Visit our Recruitment page and send a telegram https://wintreath.com/recruit/ (3 points)
Our recruitment page makes it easy for anyone to jump in and start recruiting. When you visit the page, take note of several key features. In the middle of the page, you will see a list of nations that are eligible to be recruited. On the right hand column, you will see a box for your code at the top right, and then stats for all of our recruiters on the bottom right. To send a telegram, all you need to do is copy and paste the code into the template field (the key that starts and ends with a % that you obtained from nationstates), and click a name from the middle of the screen. The tool will automatically open up nationstates, and you just need to scroll to the bottom, click to send a telegram, and copy the code into the box and hit send! Tada, you just sent a recruitment telegram! For completing this awesome task, you will receive 3 points.
Now that you have walked through the steps of sending a telegram, here are the
real challenges:Bronze Recruiter: Send 10 telegrams in one day (1 point)
Silver Recruiter: Send 20 telegrams in one day (2 points)
Gold Recruiter: Send 50 telegrams in one day (3 points)
Platinum Recruiter: Send 10 telegrams for at least 5/7 days a week (3 points)
Diamond Recruiter: Send 20 telegrams for at least 5/7 days a week (4 points)
Sapphire Recruiter: Send 50 telegrams for at least 5/7 days a week (5 points)
As a reminder, the recruiter with the most points will get a fancy discord masking, as well as being able to display this userbar!
