There was nothing about the starry sky that night to suggest that strange and unusual things would soon be happening. As the unsuspecting students of Hogwarts slept, one particular second year student was out and about as he searched for Hogwarts' secrets. Little did he know that his thirst for adventure would indeed be quenched in ways he didn't expect...as would that of every other student of Hogwarts.
As the young boy known as Caleb Cobble made his way through the dark halls of the school, something caught his eye outside of the possible Prefect that he'd sneakingly avoided: something that looked to be a big gleaming white rabbit. As he approached, the large rabbit pointed to what looked to be a pocket watch as it began hopping away from the boy, seemingly beckoning him to follow.
Curious, Caleb did indeed follow the strange creature as it led him through the halls of the grand school and out into the field. The White Rabbit then made its way towards the Whomping Willow (a tree that would strike anyone that came near, but was surprisingly dormant at the moment) and scurried down a hole inside it. Caleb approached the tree with his curiosity still holding as he looked toward the hole. Unlike what he had learned in his previous year from gossiping students, this was not the same hole that went through and led a mischievous trio to the Shrieking Shack that same year. Instead, this hole seemed to go directly down, seemingly forever as the boy found himself leaning further in as if he was listening to hear the rabbit hit the bottom. But Caleb had leaned too far as he found himself losing his balance and falling down the hole, screaming loudly.
To his surprise, Caleb seemed to fall slower and slower until he was floating, wondering if this was his own slowing down of everything seconds before his short life flashed since he was close to meeting his end. But as he fell, he could swear that he saw what looked to be a table and chairs floating near him, and a teapot and playing cards sitting perfectly stationary on the floating table. But moments after admiring it, the floating table and its contents including the chair caught flame and turned to ash, and Caleb's slow descent picked up traction once more.
What should have been a
splat! was instead replaced by a
foomf! As Caleb eventually hit the bottom and landed on something soft; a large comfy chair in the perfect center of a room surrounded by doors. After a moment of adjusting from the shock and surprise, Caleb stood up and looked around the room of exquisite doors that surrounded him. He attempted to open each one as none would open for him. Remembering his lessons, he pulled out his wand and pointed at each one as he shouted "Alohamora!" But the doors seemed resistant to his magic as none of them responded by unlocking. Defeated, Caleb turned towards the armchair that cushioned his fall. Only this time the armchair was no longer there, but was instead now a beautiful glass table with a tiny golden key sitting directly in the center, next to a small bottle labled "Drink me."
Caleb's curiosity got the better of him as he grabbed both the tiny key and bottle, drinking the contents without even considering what it would do if anything. As he drank the last drop, he felt an unusual sensation coursing through his body as he could swear the room itself seemed to be getting
bigger. Sure enough, he turned to see that even the table seemed to be gradually towering over him until he was barely big enough to reach even a third of the legs of the table itself. Still clutching the key (which was now only slightly bigger than his hand), he looked around for what to do next.
As if responding to him, a curtain that was hanging between two of the doors lifted up slowly to reveal a hidden, smaller door that was only somewhat bigger than Caleb. Walking over, Caleb stuck the golden key into the lock and turned it, hearing a "Click!" as the door unlocked and opened for him. As it opened, Caleb stepped through as the door closed behind him.
Ahead of him was what looked to be a lush and beautiful, but also unusual landscape. There were flowers that seemed to have faces as they whispered to each other at the unusual boy, butterflies that looked as if they had toast with butter as wings, and even the dirt itself seemed to have a harder, almost concrete feel with each step compared to the usual feel.
But Caleb's wonderment at this unusual place was cut off quickly by a shrill voice. "Well well, what a pretty one we have here!" The voice cried out sharply as Caleb turned to face its source. Standing near him was a slender woman in completely black attire with a pointy black hat and arguably equally pointy nose. But the most unusual thing was this woman's unusual green skin that seemed to almost match the color of the grass that he was stepping on.
The woman examined Caleb for a moment as she looked downward toward the White Rabbit whom had hopped over to her, the same rabbit that Caleb had followed. "Were there others?" the woman asked as the rabbit seemed a little hesitant in answering. "Y-yes your Wickedness, there was a whole school of them." He answered in a surprisingly deeper voice than what Caleb expected for a rabbit (though for some reason he wasn't surprised to see a rabbit talk).
"Good. Summon my soldiers, we're going to have some fun." The wicked woman cackled as the rabbit turned towards the boy and hopped away.

Welcome to the 2nd attempt of Werewolf XIII where it'll be a clash of popular YA stories battling for supremacy including:
*Harry Potter
*Alice in Wonderland (as well as The Looking Glass Wars series)
*Wizard of Oz
And possibly including:
*The Neverending Story
*The Lord of the Rings/ The Hobbit
*The Hunger Games
*And other stories that will make themselves known over time depending on how the game goes.
This game will have three specific possibilities depending on both attendance as well interest type. I'll be capping the game at roughly 24 players in the interest of a more complex game (done with pre-voting scenarios to manipulate the story as an example). However, if attendance doesn't hit that cap by the end of signups or there's more interest in it being a basics game, then that'll be the direction I'll go instead. Likewise, if attendance hits the mark but people want less complex (such as having added roles, but not going overly ambitious with scenarios), people can vote for the Neutral option.
The names/roles of the heroes will be kept secret, but the Wicked Witch, Voldemort, and possible others will fill the villain ranks.
All you need to do in this thread is sign up and pick your vote choice in the poll, and of course acknowledge that you've read
this thread and understand the rules within it.
Depending on what everyone decides will dictate the game rules, so I won't post that yet.
Signups as well as the poll will go until 7/28/2020
