1. This shall be titled the Seating Act for the Fortieth Underhusen.

2. The Fortieth session of the Underhusen shall be composed of seven (7) seats.

There's been a lot of interest in running for Underhusen; a lot of good candidates in the last several sessions, particularly new ones who haven't really gotten a fair shake because some Old Hands decided to get involved (and we all know the Underhusen is basically a popularity contest, which, y'know, thanks everyone for reminding me I'm super popular).
Moreover, there's been a huge influx of new nations and new community members in the wake of the Durnil-ing, which just seems to me to further merit an expansion of the UH in the near future (so long as we're not permanently reducing its membership to 0, that is).

Incidentally, Mischievousness and General Shenaniganry wanted me to do an even number, but I know that'd be shouted down the moment I tried it, so; 7 seats.

I demand 13 seats because I like that number more. 

That strikes me as impractically large, not only from a 'I don't think we've ever had 13 candidates for UH' angle, but also a 'in terms of the actual functioning of the UH' angle.
9 would be about as high as I would think is practical, honestly, and even that's a bit of a stretch.

Yeah I was mainly joking. Increasing the number seems like a good idea. Ultimately I'd like too increase the number to the whole of the population 

But this is a good start.

Yeah...I'd say more than 4 is good, but maybe start a digit higher rather than hitting 7.  There's more interest...but we're also hitting the summer months, so people might be busier as well or going out more to enjoy the sunshine since they've been cramped up in their houses due to the pandemic, and outside exercise and even some travel isn't prohibited in most states in the US.

Long explanation short, people might be doing other things aside from being online during the summer months to make up for being couped up, so 7 could be a bit high

5 is already the default, and 6 is a non-starter because of ties.
Thus, 7.

I always forget that 5 is the default.

That being said, then I think 5 is fine for now for the same reasons I mentioned.

Nah, son, 7 is where it's at. We also have a global lockdown, so people are bored out of their minds this time around, and I think this will counteract the lull we typically experience.
