Greetings, new Underhusen! Now that the election is finally over, we need to go about the business of selecting a new Speaker. Over the next 48 hours, please post here if you are interested in standing for Speaker...afterwards we will have a 48 hour election to determine who it will be unless only one person stands.

I will stand as Speaker.

For kicks, I'll also stand for Speaker since it's been a good while.

I nominate all other members for Speaker, as well, because of the chaos.

I have an ethical obligation to stand for Speaker on the basis of the mandate I have been given by my presumably-Burner constituents, and more than that, a politico-moral one as well because I believe it must happen.
Should there be Burners in this decrepit body with me, I urge you to back my candidacy so that we can finally, effectively burn this worm-eaten edifice to the ground and build something new and glorious in the ashes.

I mean, half of my plans would be burning down the UH.  The other half would just be erecting the OA in its place.

Engineering a tie to highlight the total dysfunction of the UH is in my best interests.
