  • Would it be possible to keep the headers for each agenda item above the various action points?

The last meeting agenda was quite helpful as a summary of what happened for those of us who couldn't make it there; this one was significantly more difficult to follow as I had to keep bouncing back between the two lists to figure out what was being discussed and why.

I'm not sure, because we're going to start running into a situation where we have action points spanning multiple meetings and agendas, which is going to get pretty tedious to include. The reason I put it like this was to make it clear what was outstanding from the previous meeting and what was new to this meeting.

I don't understand your meaning. If it's going to keep getting longer as more and more meetings/action points are added, wouldn't be more confusing if each of the sections are untitled and you're left to figure out what each section is dealing with?

It's already an issue now; for instance, section 3 begins "3.1) Wintermoot will discuss additional help with Chanku" without any explanation and you're forced to figure out by context that this is about the Minecraft server. And section 4 has "4.1) Katie will create a flyer that we can use to announce that nominations are coming up"; this time the context isn't even provided and you have to look completely elsewhere to realize that we're talking about elections at all.

If you even just copy/pasted "3) The Future of the Minecraft Server" and "4) Question About Election Timing (Kane)" on top of those two, respectively, it would already be so much easier to understand what is being discussed on a read.

  • What I mean is that at some point having all the agendas and action items for all past meetings is going to get tedious, both for me to put together and for people to read. I probably need to put another document together for the Cabinet/ops detailing the projects we have on our plate (these action items plus our internal discussions plus regular tasks we need to do). Then each meeting note could just be about the single meeting.

A separate document would be nice, but that doesn't deal at all with the fact that the way the action points are laid out is significantly less clear than it was previously, or could be.

You already separate the action points into numbered sections based on topic. Doesn't it make sense to have at least some sort of section header explaining what each section topic is?

And again, I really don't understand how explaining what each section is about would make reading it more tedious. It can only make it less tedious because the reader isn't forced to do the unnecessary extra work of also having to figure out and/or remember what is being discussed when reading it each time. And as time goes on and the list gets longer and we all start to forget where the older action points are from, that will only get worse.
