Good concern to raise.  I honestly don't know when the game will be ready.  I will try to make it not conflict with Spyfall and Werewolf too much since those two (especially the latter) and Arena often require some time commitments for planning strategies to determine actions, questions, accusations, etc...

I am hoping to have this Arena game ready for Summersend (although I would expect it to extend well after Summersend because of the scale of the game and the deliberately high health stats combined with proportionately less damaging attacks compared to the other games of Arena (at least from my impression since it seemed like in other games a single lucky attack could remove half the health from a player).

A few days ago I edited the earlier posts here that give information about this game of Arena.  This is important because these edits have changed the roster of which characters and NPCs are available in the game along with giving an idea for a start time for the game.

None of the characters that had been selected have been replaced so @Gerrick and @Wintermoot shouldn't have to worry about their character being gone.

Signups are open and characters can be changed but the previous rules about the signups are still in effect.  The tentative start date I have for this is at some point during Summersend.

Looking at the previous Arena games can give you somewhat of an idea of what ordinary team gameplay is like.  (Especially the Players vs Monsters game since in that game the moves were posted on the forums and not sent in through PMs)

I will be here to answer questions about the game because I am sure there will be questions to answer.

I don't know what I'm doing but I've read the roles and saw Scarlett Witch is playable I think so umm if possible I'd play as her.

Yes, each character can only be played by a single player.  No extreme clone shenanigans this time around.

That line seemed to imply that as the most likely possibility, but I wasn't sure, maybe you choose them first come first serve, but there could still be multiple of each character. Thanks for clarifying.

Also I am going to be online on Discord more often now that school is starting up again for me.  I will be willing to try to explain Arena  some more and do other things during that time.

Also if anyone wants to change their character feel free to do it.  Just don't try to select an NPC.

This took so long that I am not going to show images of my rolls.  What I did was using the Sidekick bot on Discord, I started off with 1d17(17 characters were eligible as NPCs or chosen).  I rolled 11 times before I examined the number pattern results for each selection.  There were plenty of times where rerolls and extra rolls due to mistakes and ties were required.  The number system I did was made by alphabetizing the two groups separately and then numbering the eligible characters in reverse alphabetical order alternating between the two groups with Marvel being numbered first.  This meant Wonder Man was first on the list and Copycat was last (there were 5 NPCs from DC and 1 chosen character while 4 NPCs from Marvel and 5 chosen characters so once DC ran out for the list, the rest of the Marvel characters were added in the same reverse alphabetical order).  After a selection was made, the dice lost a side on its roll until the last roll where Magik was chosen by the results and Wasp was the one left over to finish the last team.  The number that was most frequent was the one that was selected to be placed on the team, the NPCs were chosen more often than Player characters not surprisingly.  It wasn't until the fourth set of 11 (or more) dice rolls that the first player character rolled a majority: Animal Vegetable Mineral Man aka ogunbiyi.

I will send out PM group chats for the teams so that you can strategize and plan and chat before I officially get the game started later today or tomorrow (hopefully soon either way).

Also here is a movelist for all of the players and NPCs who are in this game.  This will make your planning easier most likely.

Copycat (NPC)

Power Mimicry: Takes no damage from attacks that turn.  50% chance anyone attacking her takes 5 damage.
Team Attack Contribution: Mutates her body to deal 3d4 damage to a target.

Wonder Man (NPC)

Talented Actor: Taunts the targeted enemy causing their attack to hit Wonder Man instead of their target.  His next attack deals 3 more damage.
Team Contribution: Increases the damage his teammates deal by 4 for one turn and deals 2d3 damage to all of the targets.

Scarlet Witch

Powerful Launch: Removes a target from the game for a turn cancelling their action and nullifying any effects that would have been affected them that turn.  At the end of the turn the target returns and takes 3d4+3 damage.
Negative Energy Forcefield: Halves damage from up to three enemy attacks targeting Scarlet Witch and causes a 50% chance for the attacks to hit the attacker instead.
Team Contribution: Probability Hexes: Reduces the chance for all attacks launched against Scarlet Witch or her allies to hit by 50% on the next two turns.

Namor

Fight for your King!: Defends each ally from 2d4 damage and any attackers take 1d4 damage that turn.
Come Forth Giganto: Deals 2d10 damage to two targets.
Team Contribution: Floods the part of the arena the targeted team is in causing all of the targets to take 2d5 damage that turn.  Also causes all attacks to do 3 more damage to them for the next two turns.

Wasp

Flying Sting: Shocks two targets for 2d4 damage and becomes 50% harder to hit that turn.
Pym Particle: Shrinks the targeted player for two turns reducing their damage dealt by 5 but also making any attacks targeting them 50% more likely to miss and increasing their initiative by 5.
Team Contribution: Calls forth ants who painfully sting all of the targets and continue to do so on the next turn for 1d6 damage both turns.

Ruby Thursday

Catch This!: Detaches and launches her head at a target and makes it explode dealing 3d4+2 damage.
Slap Time: Hits a random amount of targets (up to 5) with electrified head tentacles dealing 3d2 damage and causing them to take an extra 1d3 damage at the end of the turn.
Team Contribution. Two targets are slammed together and shocked dealing 2d8 damage and causing them to take 3 damage at the end of their next turn.

Magik

Teleportation Disk: Magik teleports herself and another player out of the game preventing either one from being attacked that turn and cancelling the target's action (does not defend against or remove effects).  If that player is an enemy than she takes 1d6 and they take 2d4 damage.  If the player is an ally than both heal 6 damage.  Both players return at the end of the turn.
Soul Slash: One target is marked and if they attack on their next turn, they take 4d4+2 damage.
Team Contribution: Summons demons which attack all targets while she engulfs her sword in flames and slashes the same targets for 1d10+5 damage.

Snowflame (NPC)

A Powerful High: For the next two turns Snowflame’s attacks deal 4 extra damage and any damage he takes is ignored. (the damage is applied when the effect wears off)
Team Contribution: Burn!: One target takes 1d6 damage per turn for 3 turns and any enemies who attack Snowflame become high causing them to deal an extra 2 damage and ignore incoming damage for 3 turns.  They also take the 1d6 damage per turn for 3 turns.

Animal Vegetable Mineral Man

Prehistoric Stomp: 50% chance tp deal 4d3 damage to a target and reduce their initiative by 5 on their next turn.  If the target is not hit, than a random enemy takes the damage and initiative reduction.
Hasty Flight: Turns into a swarm of insects giving him a 50% chance to take half the damage from incoming attacks for one turn.
Team Contribution: Hybrid Transformation; One target's actions that turn and on the next turn affect a random player instead and the target takes 2d3 damage per turn over the next two turns. Also deals 3d2 damage to the next enemy who performs an action.

Captain Atom (NPC)

Energy Redirection: Targets one ally, up to four random effects applied to that ally are removed and the ally's next attack does 1 extra damage per nullified effect.
Team Contribution: Protects all teammates from all attacks by players from the targeted team on that turn.

Red Tornado (NPC)

Repair: Heals 10 damage and removes status ailments from Red Tornado.
Team Contribution: Creates an extremely strong hurricane which repeatedly slams all of the targets against each other and parts of the arena randomly dealing either 3d5 or 4d6 damage.

Plastic Man (NPC)

Handmixers: Deals 4d2 damage to one target or 2d2 to two targets.  The target(s) also take an extra 1d4 damage at the beginning of the next turn.
Team Contribution: Both of you take this!: Targets two opponents, the first one has their action cancelled and is launched into the other target dealing 2d4 damage to both.  The first target also has their initiative reduced by 5 for the next two turns.

Sorry for such a long delay.  I was going to make an elaborate story but I got busy and realized that was just not practical.  The game is ready to start, I just need to do the initiative rolls to start the game.  Instead of a story, there will just be random events that happen each round which may have an effect on the game but probably will not (more for flavor than gameplay).
The PMs are still up so I would recommend doing some planning before the chaos begins.  I will estimate that I won't be done setting this up until Saturday the 9th of January.  Hopefully the notifications work (since I just copied and pasted them).

If you don't want to read through the text to find them, the teams are: (I will add names later)

I would recommend reading through posts on this thread for a reminder of (or to learn) how the game works.  This should be fun.

1/11(also 12)/21 edit: Clarified some of the abilities in their description and also changed some abilities. 

Specific clarification of the wording of certain abilities (some of these abilities are a little different from before this edit)

Magik's Soul Slash "If they attack on their next turn" means: If used Turn 1, then if the target attacks on Turn 2 they take the damage.  Animal Vegetable Mineral Man's Hybrid Transformation "Also deals 3d2 damage to the next enemy who performs an action" means: On the turn this Team Attack ability is used, the next active enemy on the initiative list takes that damage.  Captain Atom's Energy Redirection "the ally's next attack" means their next attack after this ability is used on them.  Red Tornado's Team Attack has a 50% chance to deal 3d5 or 4d6 damage to all targets which is determined individually.

Also whenever rounding is needed (since there is some halving in the abilities), the number will be rounded down.
