We did it, again!I never had any doubt...after six years we're kinda pro at coming up with a cure for the zombie plague and blasting the undead masses with cure missiles, right? But this year came with some challenges, especially when a lot of people who are usually front and center weren't able to commit the time that they usually do, myself included. That's what makes this year so special, it's the year that others stepped up. In particular, I want to recognize

@Elbbsas,
@Ruguo, and
@Gallynukes for helping to coordinate our efforts on Discord, as well as the many people who researched the cure and launched cure missiles. It's everyone's efforts that led to our success.
As it happens, I realized that because we've been successful every year, you can actually track the growth of the region by how many survivors there are, so I got those numbers and plotted out the number of survivors and the number of nations we had at the end of each Z-Day from 2014 forward:
From the graph, you can easily see our growth as a region over the years. The number of nations might vary from year to year, but our population keeps going up. That means we're doing a decent job of keeping our older nations with higher populations in the region! And that in turn makes it easier to climb up the survivor leaderboards with each passing year. Oh yeah! Speaking of leaderboards, this year we were:
4th for Most Survivors + No Quarantine
14th for Most Survivors + No Infected
22nd for Most Survivors
Several days ago, I asked us to embrace the challenge of being a cure region and a refuge for others needing curing, and our position on the leaderboards show that we conquered that challenge to the best of our ability. We couldn't have done this without the help of everyone who pitched in during the event, so this victory belongs to everybody in the region. Thank you, congratulations on a job well done, and I'm sure we'll do it again next year!
