Character Name: K011
Age: 12 chronologically (30's in appearance)
Species: Cloned Human.
Biography: K011 aka Kilo Eleven, or 'Cole' to some who have tried to humanize him, is a genetically engineered human. Cloned from a template to produce the most effective and fanatically loyal soldier for the Bellarum Empire. Created from the 'Marine' Template, he spent the first three years of his life in training before being assigned to the Marine compliment aboard the Bellarum Heavy Cruiser IBVS Indomitable where he served with maximum efficiency within his ability for nine years. During that time he took part in over 1,000 Naval engagements against the Wintrean Navy, and took part in even more boarding actions both on the offense and defense. He had a particular talent for defensive operations, making extensive use of improvised tripwire mines made from grenades and shotgun shells against many an unsuspecting Wintrean Voidsman. During a battle that seemed to be just like any other, K011 and his comrades had the honor of being in the first wave of boarders against the Wintrean Ship of the Line WVS Wintermoot. Their objective was the main hangar bay of the Wintrean capital ship, and they set upon it with viscous fury. Within fifteen minutes Kilo Company had taken the hangar and began planting explosives on the Wintrean shuttles, and reported back to the Indomitable for further orders, but something was interfering with communications. Without direction, the marines dug into their position and waited for the Wintermoot's crew to launch a counter attack. When the counter attack came, they repelled it. Once the last miserable Wintrean scum had been eliminated, Kilo company once again called for further orders, once again their call went unanswered. It was then that one of the younger troopers got the commander's attention and pointed out into the void. There in the midst of the massive void battle, they saw the IBVS Indomitable, her back had broken, and the whole ship had in turn ripped in half. As the clones continued to observe they soon began to realize that all of the visible Bellarum ships were disabled or destroyed, and the fleet flagship was missing. The evidence in front of them could mean only one thing, the battle was over... Bellarum had lost. Undeterred, the Commander of Kilo Company beckoned his men to arms, and divided the force into two groups. He had a plan, and it was very simple: They would bring down this Wintrean ship or they would die trying. One group would fight their way to the bridge, the other, which K011 was assigned to, would fight their way to the ship's magazine. If the first group could capture the bridge, they would try to use the control of the vessel to do some kind of damage to the rest of the Wintrean fleet, whether it be to turn the ship's guns on its allies, or to simply ram the capital ship into the next largest craft. If this group were to fail in its mission, the latter group would if all went well, detonate the magazine and blow the ship apart from the inside. Alone, these 83 clone marines would very nearly succeed in their self-assigned mission. Unfortunately they would be stopped. For a brief time, the first group managed to take and hold the bridge, but they were too few in number to withstand the counter attack. The second group, fared better, and managed to take the ship's magazine with relatively few casualties. It seemed as though they could hold it long enough to get confirmation from the first group too. But K011 would not get to see what happened. During the third Wintrean counter attack to the magazine, he was shot in the helmet and was knocked unconscious. At the time he thought he'd been killed, leaving him both surprised and enraged when he awoke two weeks later in the medical bay of the WVS Wintermoot. He was told by one of the marines assigned to guard him that his comrades failed in their mission, fighting to the last man. It is incredibly hard to capture a Bellarum Clone Soldier, recovering their corpses was easy, but to get one alive was next to impossible. K011 was the Wintrean's lucky exception to the rule. They removed the poison capsule implanted in a false tooth, making it far harder for K011 to kill himself. It did not stop the clone from being a significant nuisance, among other things, attempting to bite his own tongue off, stabbing an orderly with a sedative meant for him, and damaging nearly a dozen medical droids, and completely destroying three. But no matter how hard he tried, the Wintreans would not kill him. On their way back to port, the Wintermoot stopped at Deep Space Wintreath Station where the crew dumped the POW Clone onto the station's garrison. Shortly into his time in the brig, he successfully got himself put in solitary confinement where he attempted a hunger strike. This attempt was nearly successful, but one of the guards took the time to thoroughly check on the prisoner, and just barely managed to take the starved man to the sickbay where his life was much to his dismay, saved. It was there, with no strength left to make any more attempts to end his own life, that for the first time in all his 12 years, someone considered him a person. The vast majority of the sickbay's staff were far too afraid of the savage clone to come within five feet of him, even if he was too weak to lift his arms up to feed himself. But one nurse by the name of Venora had the nerve to take care of the prisoner of war. She tended his every need and beyond. Among the things she did above and beyond, was to simply spend time with him, talking, at first at him, which when he refused to respond evolved into reading stories aloud to him. After awhile the strategy paid off and K011 peeked out of his shell to ask questions. It took a long time, but she managed to get K011 for one give up trying to kill himself, which was quite a feat, but then further started making real progress in getting him to open up, even getting as far as to learn his designation, which she turned into a name 'Cole' spelled 'Koll' even if he refused to respond to it from anyone but her. Even after he was released from the hospital and was returned to the brig, and then shortly after solitary confinement once again, Venora continued to visit K011 daily. Things were going quite well, K011 found himself actually enjoying the Wintrean woman's company. One day, Venora did not come. It was the first time in months that she had not. At first K011 ignored it and told himself that he finally had some peace and quiet. By the third day in a row of the woman's absence however, he found himself feeling uncomfortable for some reason. By the time a week had gone by without her presence, he managed to identify the discomfort he felt as 'missing' her. Wishing to see the 'annoying human female' he called out to the guards who patrolled solitary and when one worked up the courage to approach him, he asked where Venora was. It was then he learned that Nurse Venora had been murdered in a mugging gone bad. The woman's death had a far more significant effect on K011 than he ever would have liked to admit. He felt pains in his chest similar to those he got when his comrades would fall in battle, but this was far more intense. It became so bad that his eyes dispensed water from his tear ducts. He at one point pondered trying another hunger strike or some other form of suicide, but found himself dissuaded by the thought of the woman. He considered how hard she had worked to care for him, and he could not bare to consider dashing her efforts. Eventually it led K011 to make a significant change in his operations. K011 returned to the regular brig population and did not make any sort of trouble, he was deadly silent, and did not interact socially, but in all other aspects he became a model prisoner. Behind his back, the guards called Nurse Venora's death the best thing to happen to them in regards to the Bellarum Clone. One of the guards made the mistake of saying as such within earshot of K011, and shortly after found himself needing a complete set of dental implants and an augmetic eye after the beating he received from K011. While it landed him in solitary again, it was K011's last incident. The guards had learned their lesson, and peace was restored. Since then, K011 has tried to follow Venora's teachings on his own, trying to unlock the secrets of as she called it 'living life.' The phrase still boggled him, but as the months went by he started finding pieces to the puzzle, one of the biggest of those came seven months after Venora's death. The War between Bellarum and Wintreath ended and with it, K011's time as a Prisoner of War. Without a 'home' to go to, K011 remained on Deep Space Wintreath to continue his quest to 'live life' beginning with getting a job. Taking pity on him, the station's sickbay has taken him on as a Janitor giving him a uniform, equipment, and a cot in the janitor closet to serve as a barracks. A worthy place for any soldier to start in K011's book.
Role: Janitor
Other: While his primary objective is 'Living Life,' deep down, K011 is determined to find out what exactly happened to Nurse Venora, and if possible return the favor to the enemy who took her life...
