    Character Information Thread

Hey everyone!!  New and old!!  If you're stumbling across this tread and the RP is still going, fear not!!  There are many shuttles to Deep Space Wintreath every day, so just post a character application here and prepare to join the roleplay!!

    Character Application

    Species
If you're creating a new species, for now just include a short 1-2 paragraph description of the species.  You know, homeworld, basic cultural stuff, major differences in biology or appearance, etc.  If this RP proves successful, I'm completely game to creating a whole species thread if it becomes necessary!! :D

    Biography
Any length is admissible, but the longer the better!!  More information will allow greater worldbuilding from every one of us in the roleplay, and that means things should be able to last a bit longer!!

    Roles
Possible Roles include: Engineering, Pilot, Explorer, Medical, Security, Supply, Operations—even enterprising civilian businesspersons have space on the station!!  No technical or sci-fi knowledge is necessary to get involved in this roleplay, despite its sci-fi theme—really!  They still have pubs and tailors in the future, after all. :)

    Other
If you have anything else you want to include on your charter application/information post please, include it and I'll try and make it relevant over the course of play!!  Also, I strongly encourage updating your character information/application post as you come to a greater understanding with your character.  I will link to all crewmembers of the station in the OP post so all the character information posts will be readily accessible!! :D

    Character Portrait

    Species: Fenrir
Info: Fenrir are a sentient species of bipedal wolf-like humanoids. Males grow to be around 7 ft and 6 in (2.29 m) tall and weigh 280 lbs (156.49 kg) while females grow to be around 8 ft and 4 in (2.49 m) tall and weigh 340 lbs (176.9 kg). Notable features are pointed ears, manes, four eyes, spiked forearms, and fluffy tails. Fur colors are akin to dogs, and eye colors are generally blue, green, or brown with heterochromia occasionally appearing in the population. Females have longer fur growing from the top of the head and back of the head forming a line to their smaller manes and have fluffier tails than males do. Males have fluffier manes but come with a more muscular physique. Fenrir show an adept understanding of science and technology and utilize this innate skill in their services with the other species of Wintreath. Fenrir also wear collars, each collar made to have a metal plate on the front with the individual's clan symbol carved into it.

Biography: Zerick aspired to become an engineer in space for Wintreath as a young cub, as his parents both served aboard a starship in service of their fellows. Going through the Wintreath Academy, his timidness and antisocial behavior gave him plenty of time for his studies but prevented him from growing leadership skills required for an officer position. His first commission as an engineer was aboard a science vessel doing research in the fringes of space. Everything was quiet for over a year as he surveyed the vessel, memorizing her operation and every kink. Eventually an accident happened in one of the labs causing a major malfunction in the power grid which destabilized the core. The chief engineer got blasted by an energy surge and rushed to the infirmary. Zerick in the heat of the moment rushed in, leading the leaderless engineers to cut off the science lab from the power grid and stabilize the core. Having lost their chief engineer just moments afterwards in the infirmary, the ship and her crew needed someone to fill in the spot. The captain and the crew all agreed to promote Zerick to the position. Feeling vastly unprepared, he was initially going to reject the promotion but accepted it, as this was as good a time as any to develop his leadership skills. Over the course of the coming years, his ability to effectively lead his engineering team grew him into a proper officer and gave him experience for an even greater assignment.

    Role: Chief Engineer

    Other:
    Spoiler
Basic collar design with clan symbol. Colors not accurate. Collar strap is a fine interwoven chain mesh, plate in front is a highly durable ceramic material.

    Species: Cyarenea
Info: The Cyarenea are a long lived cybernetic species from the very outskirts of space. They do not have specific genders, but if one had to assign a gender they would appear female. They range from 1.8 meters to 2.1 meters in height, with a subspecies, Cyarenanus, growing to a mere 1.2-1.3 meters. While they appear mostly  humanoid, their most notable feature is six large metallic legs protruding from between their shoulder blades. In younger Cyarenea, mandibles may be visible. Their skin is covered in a mixture of soft scales and hardened plates of near metal strength.  They are most commonly brown, but some Cyarenea and more commonly Cyarenanus have grey to black plating. Mixed specimens result in splotching of colors, a trait considered impure and undesirable. Eyes are usually yellow to amber, with rare cases of pure white eyes. In many cases they appear to glow, most likely from a side effect of the standard cybernetic enhancements they go through at birth to be able to not fall over under their own body weight or their parents were rich and paid for it. Instead of hair, they sport a crown of bristles, which can be combed back with a specific set of tools. These bristles are usually no longer than 10 cm, and are either the same color as the skin or a shade darker, tipped with black.

Because of their extra legs, Cyarenea have more dexterity and are able to move faster than most species. They are a technologically advanced people, but also very reclusive. It is rare to see one off of the homeworld, and their species numbers keep declining because of this.

More elite Cyarenea go through several procedures to edge their plates with gold and precious gems. The most extreme case recorded is of 'The Glitter Monster', a crazy specimen that decided to get flecks of silver and gems implanted under the first layer of plating. As Cyarenea occasionally lose scales much like humans lose skin over time, this becomes quite the task to upkeep.

The species lives around 250 years, the longest living Cyarenea reported to have lived 307 years.

Biography: Kry had never quite understood how her people could just stand by and let themselves die out when there was a whole galaxy out there with the knowledge they might be missing. Against her parent's wishes, she boarded the first transport off the planet once she came of age and enrolled in the Wintreath Academy. There she became infatuated with the sciences, and biology in particular. She hoped to one day learn enough to help her people overcome their own stubbornness, but came to the conclusion it was a bit hopeless. So she set her mind to helping those she could. Her determination to do nothing but work made her disliked by many other students, deeming her a try hard. With her extended life span, she spent a few extra years at the academy picking up extra courses to fast track her higher into the program. She then served on three different ships in different roles before being transferred to her current post.

    Role: Chief Medical Officer

Other: I'll add more as I think of it.

  • CHARACTER APPLICATION FOR DEEP SPACE WINTREATH

    Character Name: HKR-07

    Age: Several hundred years

Species: 7th model of the HKR(Hunter-Killer-Robot) series built by the now defunct UGC(United Gralend Corporation)

    HKR-07

Biography: Several hundred years ago the UGC built HKR as the ultimate assassin droid, loyal to the UGC, impossible to defeat and totally undetectable as a killer. Several years after being built, however, HKR eventually gained sentience, deciding to 'retire' and announcing its choice by blowing up the entire management of the UGC. For a long time after that it was hunted by the UGC who wanted their state of the art killer back. That was a long time ago, however. Once the top of the line, HKR is now an obsolete model, new advances in robotics has made HKR pretty redundant, a dozen new models capable of doing everything HKR can and better. The UGC stopped hunting it before it went out of business. In a galaxy where it has become irrelevant, HKR has managed to slip under the radar and go from world to world, taking odd 'jobs' here and there and managing to upgrade its systems in an attempt to keep up with its competition.

Mere survival is not its primary goal, though. Towards the start of its 'life' HKR hid on a ship, a ship with a special mission, to seek out and find new life and new planets, the USS Wintreath. It hid from those that hunted it on this ship and, oddly enough, began to form a bond with the crew of that ship. The years it had on that ship were years it looked back on fondly. However, it had a gap in its memory. One day it was on the ship and the next it was 5 years later and it was on a remote and isolated planet with no idea what happened in between. The greatest mystery in the history of Wintreath, what happened to the USS Wintreath, was a mystery that continued to baffle historians and investigators. HKR, though, was determined to regain its memories, to find out what happened to the ship and the crew. It will always insist that it is a mere result of its programming, its desire to recover lost memories but to some extent it is aware of a.....personal desire to get closure for itself and the crew.

After several hundred years of wandering and investigating the only lead it has brought it to the DSW station. Here, it hopes to finally solve the mystery of the USS Wintreath.

It has presented itself as a sentient protocol droid, using its concealment program, trying avoid its skills and tendencies to murder from becoming well known. It has taken a job as a bartender in the meantime while advertising his services as a protocol droid and attempting to investigate about the USS Wintreath as well in its free time.

Role: Bartender at a local watering hole named Kuarks.

Other: Hundreds of years of experience with combat, assassination, connections to the criminal underworld, while no longer state of the art still advanced enough to handle itself in a fight, carries a staff with it all the times, fluent in communication of over a dozen alien species, makes a mean Martini.

  • Character Name: Commander Saav Kusulk

    Age: 42

    Species: half Voldoran

Biography: Born on Wintreath to a Minister of the Voloran Legation there and her human husband, Saav was accepted by the Wintreath Fleet Academy after having previously attended the Imperial Voldoran Junior Academy on Voldor during his mother's rotation back to Voldor.  As such, he was not looked upon favorably by his instructors at the Fleet Academy initially, believed to have possibly been compromised by Voldoran Intelligence.  Consequently, he was barred from certain courses in his first two years by certain departments, and focused primarily on history and military operations until he was cleared for other courses at the Academy.  Excelling in these fields, Wintreath Fleet Command sent him initially to a patrol squadron on the Hijar border, where he distinguished himself in several smaller skirmishes and ultimately was promoted to Commander and controlled the light frigate USS Belladonna (OVN-6206).  After several years, he returned to Wintreath where he married his academy sweetheart Laura Sond, now a xenoarchaeologist, and was transferred with her to Deep Space Wintreath to serve as commander.

    Role: Command

  • CHARACTER APPLICATION FOR DEEP SPACE WINTREATH
    Character Name: Aki Tel'Yorak

    Age: 33

    Species: Gorram

Species Info: The Gorram are a race of intelligent, bipedal gecko-like creatures from the Gorram Technocracy, a friendly empire that borders Wintreath. The Gorram are known for their aptitude for learning, and photographic memory, which make them able to process large amounts of data efficiently. Although their brains are quite large, they do not posses physical strength, making much of their raw material-production automated. The Gorram government is essentially a coalition of universities, research facilities, museums, libraries (think the Library of Congress) and similar facilities. Each facility appoints a representative to government. These representatives are grouped based on similar fields, and based on the projects the government is carrying out. After this point, it works the same as a parliamentary system. A "House of Commons" consisting of these representatives creates laws and actions in response to the needs of the people, which are assessed by a "House of Lords" that consists of the equivalent of tenured scientists. There are no pre-established parties, instead the public elects representatives on platforms - "My name is Samuel, and I am an ecologist that is going to restore the marshlands to the south and build responsible flood defenses around the existing features" - and these representatives are able to make ad hoc parties out of the members of the scientific "House of Commons" grouped together by common ideology and purpose. In addition to running on a platform, the representative must submit a dissertation about their platform, background research, and solutions. These dissertations are reviewed by the “House of Lords” and, if found satisfactory, is declared a legitimate candidate. Their dissertation is then available for public access. There is an existing, non-scientific Civil Service that keeps the government running, budgets it and keeps government services like the police running, but has no executive power itself. All power lies with the scientists.

    Picture:

Biography: Aki Tel'Yorak was born into a prominent scientific family in the Technocracy, which quickly put him on a path for success. His father served as one of the tenured scientists on the High House, and his mother served as First Speaker of the Technocracy for many years. Aki and his brother, Prikki, accelerated through the many layered education of the Technocracy, before Prikki became a senior scientist in the Astronomical Society. Aki decided to turn his attention towards the military, and became an ordinance and supply officer in the Gorram military. After several successful skirmishes against the Pleithoran Swarm, Aki was chosen to be sent to the joint space station venture Deep Space Wintreath as the Chief Supply Officer.

    Role: Chief Supply Officer

Other: Is often seen surrounded by several of his floating, robotic assistants and accompanied by an entourage of droids.

    Age: 28 years old

    Species: Alfir

Info: Alfir are a sentient species of bipedal humanoids, visually similar to rabbits or kangaroos. Males grow to be around 7 ft and 2 in (2.18 m) tall and weigh around 250 lbs (113.4 kg) while females grow to be around 6 ft and 6 in (2.01 m) tall and weigh around 200 lbs (90.72 kg). They have tall ears, a V-shaped nose, and thick strong legs. Their teeth are very sharp and pointed for chewing through fish. Fur colors vary from milky white to a moderate tan, but a mutation can make their fur nearly black. Eye colors are generally brown, hazel, and honey, but they've been known to be blue and green colored too. Their tails are somewhat long with the fur under them growing out longer and act as a fat storage area to keep the rest of the body in shape. Alfir are more naturally gifted in arts and philosophy, with many also having a strong interest in medicine.

Biography: "Having come from a long line of bakers and chefs, it seemed only logical for Akra to continue the family tradition of owning a restaurant. The only problem was, where to open it? Just about every major city of Sellinia had a famous eatery, a lot of them being owned by her relatives, too... Suddenly, a golden opportunity! A chance to set up shop in the brand new Deep Space Wintreath ship. Without hesitation, Akra packed everything she had and took the earliest shuttle she could find. Afterall, it's not every day you get to open up a coffee shop in space!"

    Role: Shop owner/Barista

Other: Character is Non-Binary, often switching between feminine (She/Her) and neutral (They/Them) pronouns. Also prone to using strong language and mild flirting to get their way.

  • Character Name: K011

Age: 12 chronologically (30's in appearance)

    Species: Cloned Human.

Biography: K011 aka Kilo Eleven, or 'Cole' to some who have tried to humanize him, is a genetically engineered human. Cloned from a template to produce the most effective and fanatically loyal soldier for the Bellarum Empire. Created from the 'Marine' Template, he spent the first three years of his life in training before being assigned to the Marine compliment aboard the Bellarum Heavy Cruiser IBVS Indomitable where he served with maximum efficiency within his ability for nine years. During that time he took part in over 1,000 Naval engagements against the Wintrean Navy, and took part in even more boarding actions both on the offense and defense. He had a particular talent for defensive operations, making extensive use of improvised tripwire mines made from grenades and shotgun shells against many an unsuspecting Wintrean Voidsman. During a battle that seemed to be just like any other, K011 and his comrades had the honor of being in the first wave of boarders against the Wintrean Ship of the Line WVS Wintermoot. Their objective was the main hangar bay of the Wintrean capital ship, and they set upon it with viscous fury. Within fifteen minutes Kilo Company had taken the hangar and began planting explosives on the Wintrean shuttles, and reported back to the Indomitable for further orders, but something was interfering with communications. Without direction, the marines dug into their position and waited for the Wintermoot's crew to launch a counter attack. When the counter attack came, they repelled it. Once the last miserable Wintrean scum had been eliminated, Kilo company once again called for further orders, once again their call went unanswered. It was then that one of the younger troopers got the commander's attention and pointed out into the void. There in the midst of the massive void battle, they saw the IBVS Indomitable, her back had broken, and the whole ship had in turn ripped in half. As the clones continued to observe they soon began to realize that all of the visible Bellarum ships were disabled or destroyed, and the fleet flagship was missing. The evidence in front of them could mean only one thing, the battle was over... Bellarum had lost. Undeterred, the Commander of Kilo Company beckoned his men to arms, and divided the force into two groups. He had a plan, and it was very simple: They would bring down this Wintrean ship or they would die trying.  One group would fight their way to the bridge, the other, which K011 was assigned to, would fight their way to the ship's magazine. If the first group could capture the bridge, they would try to use the control of the vessel to do some kind of damage to the rest of the Wintrean fleet, whether it be to turn the ship's guns on its allies, or to simply ram the capital ship into the next largest craft. If this group were to fail in its mission, the latter group would if all went well, detonate the magazine and blow the ship apart from the inside. Alone, these 83 clone marines would very nearly succeed in their self-assigned mission. Unfortunately they would be stopped. For a brief time, the first group managed to take and hold the bridge, but they were too few in number to withstand the counter attack. The second group, fared better, and managed to take the ship's magazine with relatively few casualties. It seemed as though they could hold it long enough to get confirmation from the first group too. But K011 would not get to see what happened. During the third Wintrean counter attack to the magazine, he was shot in the helmet and was knocked unconscious. At the time he thought he'd been killed, leaving him both surprised and enraged when he awoke two weeks later in the medical bay of the WVS Wintermoot. He was told by one of the marines assigned to guard him that his comrades failed in their mission, fighting to the last man. It is incredibly hard to capture a Bellarum Clone Soldier, recovering their corpses was easy, but to get one alive was next to impossible. K011 was the Wintrean's lucky exception to the rule. They removed the poison capsule implanted in a false tooth, making it far harder for K011 to kill himself. It did not stop the clone from being a significant nuisance, among other things, attempting to bite his own tongue off, stabbing an orderly with a sedative meant for him, and damaging nearly a dozen medical droids, and completely destroying three. But no matter how hard he tried, the Wintreans would not kill him. On their way back to port, the Wintermoot stopped at Deep Space Wintreath Station where the crew dumped the POW Clone onto the station's garrison. Shortly into his time in the brig, he successfully got himself put in solitary confinement where he attempted a hunger strike. This attempt was nearly successful, but one of the guards took the time to thoroughly check on the prisoner, and just barely managed to take the starved man to the sickbay where his life was much to his dismay, saved. It was there, with no strength left to make any more attempts to end his own life, that for the first time in all his 12 years, someone considered him a person. The vast majority of the sickbay's staff were far too afraid of the savage clone to come within five feet of him, even if he was too weak to lift his arms up to feed himself. But one nurse by the name of Venora had the nerve to take care of the prisoner of war. She tended his every need and beyond. Among the things she did above and beyond, was to simply spend time with him, talking, at first at him, which when he refused to respond evolved into reading stories aloud to him. After awhile the strategy paid off and K011 peeked out of his shell to ask questions. It took a long time, but she managed to get K011 for one give up trying to kill himself, which was quite a feat, but then further started making real progress in getting him to open up, even getting as far as to learn his designation, which she turned into a name 'Cole' spelled 'Koll' even if he refused to respond to it from anyone but her. Even after he was released from the hospital and was returned to the brig, and then shortly after solitary confinement once again, Venora continued to visit K011 daily. Things were going quite well, K011 found himself actually enjoying the Wintrean woman's company. One day, Venora did not come. It was the first time in months that she had not. At first K011 ignored it and told himself that he finally had some peace and quiet. By the third day in a row of the woman's absence however, he found himself feeling uncomfortable for some reason. By the time a week had gone by without her presence, he managed to identify the discomfort he felt as 'missing' her. Wishing to see the 'annoying human female' he called out to the guards who patrolled solitary and when one worked up the courage to approach him, he asked where Venora was. It was then he learned that Nurse Venora had been murdered in a mugging gone bad. The woman's death had a far more significant effect on K011 than he ever would have liked to admit. He felt pains in his chest similar to those he got when his comrades would fall in battle, but this was far more intense. It became so bad that his eyes dispensed water from his tear ducts. He at one point pondered trying another hunger strike or some other form of suicide, but found himself dissuaded by the thought of the woman. He considered how hard she had worked to care for him, and he could not bare to consider dashing her efforts. Eventually it led K011 to make a significant change in his operations. K011 returned to the regular brig population and did not make any sort of trouble, he was deadly silent, and did not interact socially, but in all other aspects he became a model prisoner. Behind his back, the guards called Nurse Venora's death the best thing to happen to them in regards to the Bellarum Clone. One of the guards made the mistake of saying as such within earshot of K011, and shortly after found himself needing a complete set of dental implants and an augmetic eye after the beating he received from K011. While it landed him in solitary again, it was K011's last incident. The guards had learned their lesson, and peace was restored. Since then, K011 has tried to follow Venora's teachings on his own, trying to unlock the secrets of as she called it 'living life.' The phrase still boggled him, but as the months went by he started finding pieces to the puzzle, one of the biggest of those came seven months after Venora's death. The War between Bellarum and Wintreath ended and with it, K011's time as a Prisoner of War. Without a 'home' to go to, K011 remained on Deep Space Wintreath to continue his quest to 'live life' beginning with getting a job. Taking pity on him, the station's sickbay has taken him on as a Janitor giving him a uniform, equipment, and a cot in the janitor closet to serve as a barracks. A worthy place for any soldier to start in K011's book.

    Role: Janitor

Other: While his primary objective is 'Living Life,' deep down, K011 is determined to find out what exactly happened to Nurse Venora, and if possible return the favor to the enemy who took her life...

    Species: Xlakrii (pronounced shla-KREE)
Hailing from the harsh planet Xlakr, the Xlakrii have a shorter lifespan than most other humanoid species with an average life expectancy of just 50 (and the oldest recorded natural death at 74). This leads Xlakrii to taking full advantage of their lives by trying to experience as much as they can, diving headfirst into professions, exploring the unknown, and being generally aggressive. They have adapted to require very little sleep but can consume vast quantities of food to fuel themselves. Standing on average just under 6 feet, they are typically quite agile and lean, though some train their bodies to become very strong and bulky. Body augmentation is reserved for allowing one to take in as much input as possible (e.g. optical and auditory improvements, and in rare instances brain implants), but augments that would allow one to live longer (e.g. artificial organs, bionic bodyparts, or nanocells) are strictly prohibited as the physical body is strongly connected to Xlakrii spiritual beliefs. Depending on the experiences a species has had with Xlakrii, they may be viewed as honorable scholars, unpleasant vagrants, or barbaric raiders.

Biography: Born to the nomadic Paeban Clan, Paeban Wlo spent many of his early years on the various alien planets where his Clan was currently living. He had to find work in order to help fund the Clan's endless voyages to the next systems, and his ego prevented him from begging or scavenging like some of his clanmates, but he quickly learned that he was stronger and faster than most other species. While many of his clanmates worked as mechanics, pilots, medics, and storytellers, Paeban joined the few who fought for their wages. He refused to perform hits or take jobs that he found disreputable, but he would serve as security or fight in fighting rings. After years of picking up small tricks from the many different species, he became quite adept at martial arts, preferring to use his fists rather than firearms. At the age of 17, he finally left the Clan and enlisted in the Wintrean military, opting for what he viewed as a more honorable way to hone his skills. Now decades later, Paeban would be considered getting old in Xlakrii years and has accumulated a storied career. The infamous Knoparsus Incident* years ago has left him increasingly distrustful of those he does not know well, and so he may respond more forcefully than some situations necessitate, but no one questions his loyalty.

*The Knoparsus Incident was an attack on the Wintrean military space station Knoparsus by the terrorist group Nus Troida (translation: "The Capsizing" or "The Inversion"). After detonations from a docked spaceship caused the Knoparsus to in turn explode, escape pods of crewmen were released out into space. Nus Troida members in a stolen Wintrean ship then began to shoot or capture these pods. The captured crewmembers were tortured, and some were killed. Ensign Paeban Wlo, who was among the survivors, managed to escape from capture, kill some Nus Troida members, then helped release and lead the other crewmen to kill the rest and recapture the stolen ship. Paeban was awarded the Order of Valor and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant for his part, and many today still recognize him as a hero, though it remains a sore topic for him.

    Role: Chief of Security

    Other:

EDIT: Changed the species name from Dlokrissian to Xlakrii since I thought the former sounded too similar to Kerdossian. Also switched Paeban Wlo's first and clan names -- most will refer to him by his clan name (Paeban) as first name basis is reserved only for clanmates and intimate relations.

Biography: Despite being especially young by her species' standards, Talaria has achieved a lot, going through education at an accelerated rate. She's very curious about cultures other than her own, however, tends to be blunt in her opinions. Her goal is to eventually captain her own exploratory ship.

    Role: Chief Science Officer

  • CHARACTER APPLICATION FOR DEEP SPACE WINTREATH

    Character Name: Dimitrius Kolomanikovan

    Age: 29

    Picture:

    Species: Shi'vali (Devil man)
The Shivali are a strange race of horned and tailed creatures that no one quite knows where they came from, due to their innately nomadic lifestyle. While on the surface of their skin they look devilish, many choose to cover themselves in bright, flashy and clashing clothing of many colors. They also adore jewelry. They speak their own language, and tend to be disliked not only due to appearance, but tendencies to be squatters, who drink often and cause loud ruckuses. This culture tends to breed tailors, sellers of strange goods, and ship builders, when not forced into more criminal roles. Quick with their tongues, hands, and experts of minor illusions, the Shi'vali are welcomed for the good time they bring, but people tend to keep their coin purses and children close when they are around.

Biography: Dimitrius was born on a ship carrying many Shi'vali, a caravan of sorts. He was raised as any other, learning how to use his charisma and talents to his advantage. He learned many skills such as how to create the beautiful clothing of the Shi'vali, as well as being taught how to survive in situations that were....less than legal. However he eventually left them to start his own path, and own profit, making his way to the Deep Space Wintreath to self insert as a member of the society

Role: Multi talented businessman, tailor with a built in bar and tea shop. Also can provide a unique set of skills not typically possessed by good standing citizens.

Other: He is capable of many criminal skills, lockpicking, bypassing security systems, and hacking. He tends to hide some illicit trade in his buisnesses and he does so with skill

    Species: Mikaala

Biography: Lishku was born to a family in Urrnab, the capital of the Mikaala Grand Union. Being born into the proletarian class, he gained an intense work ethic and a love of cooperation. He used the skills and values he had gained as a manufacturer in order to apply to Spacefleet as exploration personnel, and rose through the ranks to become Chief Exploration Officer. He's best described as down-to-earth and kind, though he often neglects himself while trying to help others if he believes it would be best for the station.

    Role: Chief Exploration Officer

Other: As Lishku is mollusk-like, and can fit into tighter spaces than his similarly sized colleagues. As a former factory worker, he's able to jury rig simple tools in a pinch.

  • CHARACTER APPLICATION FOR DEEP SPACE WINTREATH

Character Name: Doesn't have one but let's call her "Scary".

    Age: 1

    Species: Chryssalid

Biography: This nameless Chryssalid was born and raised by some smugglers.  She was fed the meat of many humanoid species and was often outfitted with four different collars to ensure she didn't attack her handlers.  Two of these are electric collars which are controlled by transmitters which can be used from a maximum distance of 300 light years away.  The other two collars are telepathically controlled and are meant to be used as backups.  The electric collars when activated will start off with enough electricity to stun the Chryssalid (about 400 volts) but that voltage increases the longer they remain active.  If the electric collars can't be used then the system the collars are attached to will send a signal to all telepathic handlers who will then be ordered to stun it with strong blasts of energy transmitted through the mind.  This female Chryssalid is being sent alone and unrestrained on a self operating ship to Deep Space Wintreath by members of the smuggler cartel "Spiritus".  The cartel has been targeted by the Federation and they are currently at war with each other.  If the cartel has a headquarters, no one knows where it is or what it is called (at least no Wintrean does).  Seeing that this space station is in some disarray the cartel hopes to kill the crew and make it useless by sending in "Scary".  This ship known as the SS Mom is stocked with enough fuel for a trip to the station and enough meat and dead corpses that "Scary" won't destroy the ship looking for food.  She was raised to kill and trained to always attack no matter what the situation until collars were activated.  However she only views humanoids as food if she isn't starving.  She also will impregnate live humanoids that she kills and will fiercely defend the corpse until the hatchling is born.

    Role: Shock Trooper

Other: OOC: This character is just here to fight and to be killed. :P  IC: She would likely be impossible to calm down.  Her insectoid body is easily capable of killing many living things but she will generally ignore robots (not cyborgs though) and living things that aren't humanoid.  Her claws can slice through flesh and damage armor but they won't be able to do much damage to the station.  She can also climb many surfaces but not all of them.  Her incubation period is about two hours.  She also tends to target individuals more often than groups although occasionally she will target groups if she is that desperate for food.  Her body is tough and can take multiple bullets and even a weak laser blast before she starts getting weaker.

See the trick with this one is that it's not really sentient... and also I'm not sure that anyone would let an unmanned ship dock with the station.  We'll see though it could be interesting so for now we can approve it, tentatively.  We should check with the folks on discord though to see first I'd say :)
