Title
1. This act is to be cited as the Prohibition on Citizenship within the New Pacific Order.

Amendments
2. Section 2.1 of the Citizenship and Demonym Act is amended to read as follows:

Citizens are required to keep the nation with which they gained citizenship within the region unless they inform the person or agency empowered to accept or reject citizenship applications (per relevant law) of any desired change in citizenship nation. Citizens that have made five (5) posts on the Wintreath forums during the previous calendar month, after their second month of citizenship, are exempted from this requirement. Any individual wishing to obtain citizenship must have a nation within the region to qualify for citizenship. No current citizen of the New Pacific Order is eligible for Citizenship within the realm.

I introduce this act as a last-minute act to discuss this, recently the New Pacific Order has been revealed to have infiltrated multiple regions including Lazarus (pre-Civil War and during the Civil War), TRR, Osiris and other regions. This was overseen and ran by the Pacific government, with knowledge of the Emperor, and as such at this time it is in the best interests for regional security to prohibit dual citizenship.

I am reintroducing this act, with some changes to wording and grammar, to the floor of the Underhusen for consideration. This may be a bit late in the game, but I do think we still need to take a stance on this. If need be, we could modify this to be a resolution, but the amendment to the Citizenship and Demonym Act would be an added (albeit minor) security measure.

I disagree. While, yes, this could help us get into Gameplay more, we have never particularly been in GP that much. However the main reason I wish for this is simple, while we are not necessarily big potatoes for the NPO, or even in GP, I do believe it is necessary to show that, at the very least, we will not stand by while others go around to harm other regions. We must be firm on our beliefs, and as such we must stand against actions which are fundamentally against Wintrean Beliefs and values, even if it only means a minor inconvenience.

Hmmmm. I'm conflicted. I want to move to extend debate because I agree with Chanku's points on this, but I know that everyone seems set in their opinions. I also want to move to vote because I'm set in my opinion

I abstain on this issue, mostly due to a lack of knowledge about NSGP in general, and inter-region politics and relations. Apologies if that’s disappointing.

I move to table this. I don't want this bill to lose, but perhaps people are right that there's a better time for this.

Actually, the time for this will just get progressively worse as time goes by and the situation fades into the background. I for one would like us to just declare where we stand on the matter and get it over with. I motion to vote.
