I personally would prefer the Snow Leopard Fox, since it does have more meaning for our region, with it being Zaphyr's pet and all.

EDIT: also perhaps instead of the Winter Eagle, we have our animal be the Winter Turkey?

Zaphyr has a nation in NS, he is basically a citizen as well, he's been around for a while and serves many important functions in Wintreath.

Well then on that note I think our animal needs to be velociraptors known as Frost Raptors.

After all, they're just 6 foot turkeys.

@Pengu I would just prefer if we were serious with our considerations of a Regional animal. I'm not about to have a situation like in Lazarus where they voted to name their Discord bot "Doopity Poopity" or something of that nature just "for the lulz"

To be fair, that's a different type of comparison, since it's hard to make a good argument for something like "Doopity Poopity," compared to a Winter Turkey or Frost Raptor.

For example, why couldn't we have a dinosaur-like animal like the Frost Raptor?  With all of the unusual animals that exist in Wintreath's lore, a Frost Raptor would actually fit in pretty well.  We've had plenty of movies and games with dinosaurs and dinosaur-like creatures that exist in unusual types of places, so why not Wintreath?

Likewise, even a Snow/Winter Turkey could be something that actually exists in Wintreath.  Maybe it's a turkey made of pure snow and ice, or maybe it's a regular turkey that survives perfectly in Wintreath's colder temperatures.  Maybe it's not even a turkey, but is more like a dodo bird or some other silly/loopy type of bird that people call a "turkey" as a derogatory term towards its silly/loopy nature, or because it acts like a turkey even though it isn't.

Heck, if we wanted to get really lulzy and have a bird called a Snow Cock, it could literally just be an albino chicken found all over.  Or a peacock with winter colors.

Even if we want to get lulzy with our animals, we could still make them fit in our oddly quirky regional atmosphere perfectly.

My suggestion would be either the Arctic Fox or, my preference, the Snowy Owl, a species Present in basically the entire north of the world. The Owl is a creature that represents wisdom, fierceness, and if you ask me, freedom being a bird of great flight. that is my simple take on all this
