The day comes to a close in a rural little village in Medieval Scandinavia. The farmers excitedly head back to their homes to get ready for the night's festivities. After all, it isn't always that they get to see famed travelers like the great Van Helsing.
But dark and ancient powers are accompanying the shadows. Count Dracula, long thought to be a myth, has awakened from his slumber, and he will feast on the blood of all the descendants of those who had a part to play in his wife's death, a thousand years ago. Indeed, so strong was his thirst for vengeance, that he sold his soul to the devil in exchange for everlasting life, until all the families and their descendants are utterly eliminated from the world. The devil granted his wish, but at a terrible price: his thirst for vengeance would manifest itself physically as an insatiable thirst for blood, and he would only manifest his extraordinary abilities at night. During the day, he will appear like any human, a wolf eagerly walking among sheep.
But there is hope, for Van Helsing is more than a simple traveler. He has been training for this day all his life, and has rid the world of many creatures that go bump in the night.
Welcome, Wintreans, to Werewolf XVI. This game will be a back-to-basics one, in honour of the very first Werewolf hosted by Pengu, and it will he a Halloween special.
The roles are as follows:
1. Vampires: there will be four of these abysmal bloodsuckers, three of which will be simple thralls, and the last of which will be Count Dracula himself. They will act as the typical Werewolves of this game, but Count Dracula has a hardened constitution and will take two turns to lynch.
2. Van Helsing: The Seer of the game, he will walk the shadows of the night and search desperately for the mark of the devil that brands all vampires at night.
3. Jonathan and Mina Harker: two twins whose parents were murdered by a particularly nasty vampire, they will keep the townspeople safe from this threat at all costs.
The rules are as follows:
1. You may never reveal your role publicly.
2. You may not participate in any discussion if you should die, but you are allowed to say a good bye as long as you don't influence the outcome of the game in any way. Always mark such statements with a bolded
DEAD.
3. You are required to vote every day phase, or risk expulsion after the second day in which you are inactive. This rule does not apply to the first day phase.
4. Day phases will last for 48 hours, and night phases for 24.
5. You may vote to lynch no one only once, at any point in the game.
Best of luck to all participants. If you did not get a PM, then you are not a power role.
