I see no point to have a separate thread just for house Emblems, so this is where we will indicate all the current allegiances, which houses commoners have sworn fealty to, who the characters are in the family trees, etc.

Remember, we have two major houses (Burdock and Valeria), not counting the monarchy, so if you have your own house, you would be one of the minor houses and swear fealty to one of these two. If you're not part of a house at all, then you can swear fealty to one of the minor houses, as a noble.

I want to make it clear that the house allegiances are just a starting point. Say your character - a commoner - decides to marry a noble, then you can do so without having to join said house OOC, it would only affect your character's IC standing.

That said, please post your house Emblems here, as well as what your allegiances are going to be.

The Kaizer House: A Brief History

Ruling over Arnocen Academy, the Kaizer Family have always had their share of weird and wonderful characters. Originating from the Kestar house, Antonio, the founder, established a new house over the esteemed city. He fostered the intellectual side of the city, turning the once neglected acadamy into the jewel of the city. Before his death, though, he named the most promising student his heir, a practice that bas continued to this very day. Some notable characters include:

• Polada, who was a member of the Underhusen for 10 terms.
• Samuel, a decorated millitary leader famous for his victory in the 2nd Wintrean war.
• Natasha, who was a prominent biologist, responsible for the creation of the entire animal classification list Wintreath uses today.

The house of Kaizer has pledged alligance to Burdock because of their common Wintrean ancestry.

The Noble House of Burdock

Words: "Leading the Noble, Serving the Humble"

Patriarch: Lord Gerion Burdock, Count of Janth
Heir: Sae'taer Burdock
Vassal: House Kaizer

History: A fairly new house, the Noble House of Burdock was founded by its current patriarch, Lord Gerion Burdock. Born the only child to commoner parents, a cook and a midwife, Gerion was brought with them to work in several prominent houses in the capital. Both the house members and servants quickly took a liking to Gerion with his curiosity and charm.

His father died when he was only 13, however, and so his mother moved with him into one of the minor houses to work as servants. The patriarch of the house soon became a paternal figure to Gerion, showing him the ropes of how to be an upright citizen and get ahead in civic life and giving him a personal tutor to teach him math, history, and literature, which he learned swiftly.

By the time he was 18, he was already set on a career path in public service. He served a modest term in the military where he proved to be a competent leader and tactician. Afterwards, he returned to public administration and politics, taking position after next as if they were stepping stones.

At age 30, Gerion discovered an orphan who for some reason reminded him of himself when he was young. The boy's name was Sae'taer. Gerion began to take Sae'taer under his wing, feeding him and allowing him to stay in his home. Gerion tried to mentor the young lad like the old patriarch mentored him, but they both were often more preoccupied with other things. Always working, Gerion was still without a family of his own to inherit his estate, so he eventually officially adopted Sae'taer as his son, hoping to give the young man a chance to get ahead like he was given. Either because he is so deep in his work or because he's willfully ignorant, Gerion still to this day does not understand that Sae'taer is an assassin, perhaps choosing to believe that he will eventually follow his footsteps.

For his years of leadership, service, and loyalty to Wintreath, Gerion was made a noble by the Monarch and given the city of Janth as the seat of his house. Though already a respected politician by that time, he took further strides in gaining responsibility and influence. Many rivals have come with this increase in power, however. By now, House Burdock has gained the support of both minor houses and common folk, who see Gerion as a model of what they can become through hard work and dedication.

Anyone have ideas for the House Valeria emblem?

@Hydra is probably the best with graphics...  if we want to give him creative leeway to do something coolish

I'd love to but I'm fairly swamped by work these past couple of months and probably for the next couple of months as well. If you guys have ideas that I can quickly put together, just let me know (post or PM), but I can't guarantee anything right now.

You can make your own House in Wintreath, if you meet certain requirements, but you can't make one specifically for this RP. We have found some potential workarounds, though.
