You are a warrior, that is for certain, about to embark on this never ending battle. The Sultan is dead, and as her heirs squabble over their thrones, you know the battle you must fight. The battle for Pr Akash. The Greatest City, the Burned City. For centuries two Sultans have fought for control of this one place, under the gaze of the Volcano God, it is the holiest city in the world to these people. He who controls it, controls not only the city of Pr Akash, but the nation named after it. You have far more pressing concerns now though.

You stand in the temple at the centre of the city. The priests intone a language that you do not understand, their droning fills your ears. The smell of incense lays as heavy as the smoke fills the room with its haze. Seven idols stand, for seven gods, their ornate figures ranging from terrifying to almost comforting. At the centre of the room stands an altar whos simplicity contrasts with the rest of the room. A single chunk of stone, the only work done to it is the slight concave part where there lies a simple black stone, polished to a perfect sheen. With all luck you will see this room again when you seize it for your side. As the heavy stone panels are removed from the ceiling to reveal the sky, you know this ceremony is almost over. Through the window the new opening forms you see the peak of the holy mountain.

The Sultan is dead, her mandate is over. Now you must make your seven oaths to seven gods. The Volcano God Rakaufa demands only battle. What the rest will demand from you is a mystery.

Hello everyone, and welcome to what I hope will be an interesting character fantasy RP set in mine and @Fortis Scriptor world of Mithra! Since we have so much content just sitting around I thought I might as well use it. This thread is mostly just to gauge interest (I have far, far more stuff. If you like deep lore we have plenty of it.) The RP will be run by me and Fortis(If you've not read any of his work on the forums I highly suggest it) and if you have questions about this(Or the world in general) ask away!

I'll set down a lot of basics when it actually gets going, but depending on who you are I'll PM info you in particular would know about your own people and culture. Beyond that though its for you and your character to discover.

I mean, maybe Rakaufa demands only battle, but is there a god who demands only negotiation? Can I serve that god and not die?

Is this Rakaufa at all inspired by Khorne from WH40K?

I mean, Rakaufa demands only battle, in this particular situation. All 8 Gods get to issue their own demands to determine who receives their mandate. (Rakaufa's just never changes, the pantheon has its own god of War though.) You also serve all 8 in the Pr Akashi's eyes for the battle, even if you're not one of their own, and while Rakaufa demands battle, Kalina, Goddess of Adoration, may have other idea's. Of course the entire idea of these demands from the gods is a farce if your character believes in something else

Nope, honestly it's inspiration is a combination of Pele and Egypt's many sun gods.

As per usual I am interested however I do have some questions.

1. Can one focus on mounted combat, horseback etc.?


2. How much freedom will we get in our character's appearance and weaponry? this seems fairly crusadeish but does there need to be a sort of uniform or can there be more.....mercenary like characters as well?

Hmm, I thought I answered this, but I must have forgot to post!

1. You can if you like, though horses aren't the only mount. Some people ride giant eagles, exceptionally large rats or even dragons(No you can not have a dragon )

2. I'm expecting mostly mercenary like characters, that's kinda the point. I'll point towards the general appearance of peoples so you know your general boundaries, but a convincing backstory will cover everything!

Also yes, can we GET MORE INTEREST?! Up RP!

Hydra, you can literally get a Hydra as a Mount. How have you not signed up yet?

Mostly because of being busy with life.

Honestly, between A New Day, a potential 2nd or even 3rd RP (success dependent) and potentially playing Wintreath bleeds I really do not have time.

Ah, this is good. This tells us what one of the potential problems is. Then we can find solutions as a guild.
