Obligatory penguin video #3 1) Why are you running for this position? We've now once again begun putting out news dispatches and other fun things on a regular basis, and I'd hate to have that stop. So I'd like to continue helping this happen. Though the next issue of the Orendi is a bit behind schedule, we now have much possible content to write for it, and I wouldn't want to see that potential go to waste.
2) What do you aim to accomplish as thane? As part of this, you must include at least one thing that you promise to do beyond the minimum listed duties of the position during your term. It should be measurable, so that it's black and white whether you fulfilled this mandate at the end of the term if you are elected. As usual, here is the planned release schedule for Orendis. It is fairly obvious that a once-per-month schedule is not fully sustainable, so here is a more realistic timeline:
- Orendi XVII: early September
- Orendi XVIII: mid-October
- Orendi XIX: late November
I am also talking to Hydra about working on our PDF format, and improving and/or potentially even redesigning it for better digital readability.
As with my last term, I am setting my mandate as putting out a non-update, non-invitation, more fun dispatch that may or may not be a puzzle (hopefully I have better ideas and make something that is not a puzzle).
2a) If you are an incumbent running for re-election, did you fulfill your mandate from the June election? If not, why didn't you?Yes, see Puzzle #5.
3) What qualifications or experience do you have in the area that you are running in?Earlier experience:
- Wrote a few articles for Aura Hyperia and Wintreath in 2014/2015
- Put together New Hyperion Update #1 as Lord of Propaganda
Accomplishments as Dispatches Thane over past two terms:
- Put together 3 Orendis
- Working closely with Hydra on formatting 2 Orendis in newspaper PDF format
- Wrote 7 articles for said 3 Orendis
- Created 2 puzzles, one per term
- Successfully bugged ambassadors to post dispatches
As I said in my last campaign, it's quite fun, so I'd love to continue working on this.
4) How do you plan to have the time to fulfill the duties of the position until the next election in December?I've had a extremely active track record since joining Wintreath in 2015, and I expect that to continue. I make time for Wintreath, and will devote part of this time toward working on dispatches. Of course, I can't make any guarantees, especially as my first year of college begins, but I am reasonably sure I that my commitments in Wintreath will be upheld.
5) Are you currently a part of any other NationStates regional or organizational government? If so, please include those regions and positions.I am co-founder, Lord of Propaganda, and WACom Delegate of New Hyperion, the Wintreath vassal region.
