With the zombie virus outbreak imminent, this telegram was sent out to all nations in Wintreath, containing some basic information about what's to come and what we hope they will decide to do. Let's work together to make our region shine.

Nations of Wintreath! The Zombie Apocalypse is nearly upon us!

As some of you may know, the Zombie Apocalypse event will be starting within a few hours of this message being sent. During the next several days, you will begin to notice your population turning into zombies as a zombie virus spreads. Later on, should we be unsuccessful in combating this threat, you will notice your population dying off. Don't worry, at the end of the event any dead population will be revived, and there will be no lasting damage to your nation.

But I'm confidant that this will not be our fate anyway!

To deal with this virus outbreak, you will have access to a special menu option where you may specify how your nation will deal with the virus. As Monarch of Wintreath, I highly encourage you to select the option to Research a Cure. While it will take time to research and administer a cure, this is the only option that will allow our region to fight off the virus and even reverse it.

Should we successfully defeat this virus, great glory awaits our region! Let's work together to claim it!

This update was just sent to all nations in the region!

An Update on the Zombie Apocalypse

It was just eight hours ago that the Zombie Apocalypse started, and in just that time we've made incredable progress as a region in combating the zombie threat. While any number of things could happen while the event is ongoing, at this moment we have successfully researched a cure to the zombie virus, used it to start curing our populations, and brought our infection rate down from a high of 24% to just 3% and falling fast. This is all more amazing because unlike some other regions, we didn't need to close our borders or call in dozens or hundreds of puppet nations to get it done. We accomplished this on the strength of our new region alone!

That being said, there are a few nations that deserve special commendation. Once it was realized there was a new feature to launch cure missiles to cure the infected, these nations were spotted working hard tonight to save nation after nation while we were still researching a cure. We may not have even reached this point without their help:

What do we do now?
At the moment the situation appears to be stable, but there could be any number of unknown twists through the remainder of the event. Check regularly to ensure that our infection status and rate remain low. Check incoming nations for zombies, and launch cure missiles at any nations that are found to have zombies. It's also possible that other regions may send nations to intentionally spread the zombie virus and disrupt our progress...if this appears to be the case, contact me and I will eject them from the region.

In short, be relaxed, but be cautious. We have this thing in the bag at the moment, but we still have 21 hours where anything can happen here. Congrats and thanks to everyone in the region on our great progress thus far!
