We all have dreams and aspirations...things we want to accomplish, to experience, and to be. What are some of yours?

I wanna be a politician. One that people fear.

I want to get a board game based lifestyle (make them for a living.) Crazy, but true! When I copyright one I will showcase it on the forums.

My dream is to be an entertainer. I want to make people smile and forget their troubles for a while.

I wanted to be a police officer.

I just realized that I never answered.

My dream is to live a more independent life, one where I'm not tied down somewhere with things like a house or a job. I would love to be able to make a living online...I'm not looking to get rich, just enough to live comfortably and be able to enjoy the small things in life that I like, like books and games. I'd love to live in a little cottage...I don't need a big house, and I just love looking at cute cottages on Pinterest. I'd want to live somewhere that's close enough to a big city that it's easy to go to shops, restaurants, museums, and the like, but far enough away that there's trees and flowers and scenery. Of course, I'd prefer someplace where it snows in the winter, too, so I can enjoy sitting by a window watching the snow, reading, and sipping hot cocoa. I've always imagined living in either New England or the northwest.

And I'd like to live somewhere that it's easier to make and have friends...the fact of the matter is, I've never felt like I've belonged where I live now. I don't have the same interests as most of the people here, but I imagine if I found people that did it would be fun to have things like board game nights, and watch movies and just hangout. Maybe even start an offline community of friends living in a neighborhood of cottages or something...that might be fun.

I guess in the end what I'm looking for is a life that's fulfilling more than one that makes a lot of money.

I don't think that's crazy at all...I think it's unique and it sounds like fun! I enjoy designing grid-based games and RPG games myself, so I understand. Do you have any board game ideas yet?

You know, I do not know.

My dreams change. I could do much if I wasn't tied down by fear. Right now I'm studying to become a Civil engineer, but some days I think I might be better suited for paramedic work, which is appealing to me. I guess I just dream to be successful and happy eventually.

Honestly, I'm in the same area as Nyght.  I want to do something that puts smiles on people's faces and makes them forget about their own troubles.

I've always wanted to be an accomplished artist in writing, singing, acting, or a combination of all 3.

At first, my dream was to be a K/1st grade teacher much like the one I had in 1st grade.  That man knew how to run a classroom of kids where we always thoroughly enjoyed it as well as learned a great deal.  His example left a big impression on me that lasted all the way up to my college years, to where my drive going in was to get my teaching degree/certificate so I could be like him.

Theatre then pulled my interest and I ended up almost getting a degree in that instead, since I had also always wanted to get into acting ever since high school.

But because of all of the drama surrounding it and being made to feel like I wasn't good enough to actually be on stage, I never cared enough to finish my classes after my financial aid hit its limit.  Everyone keeps telling me that I should finish my class and get my degree, but I don't see the point in it anymore in all honesty.

So I just tried to weave myself a new dream.  Overall though, I do still want to do some form of entertainment because I do enjoy making people laugh and seeing them smile.  Even on my worst days, uplifting someone else's day still manages to make me feel better.  And seeing them forget about their own troubles and relax a bit just genuinely makes me happy as well.

I still haven't figured out the exact path to get me there, but I'm hoping one of the avenues I'm exploring will pay off in the end, because retail is absolutely crushing my soul.

But I love to sing, even though I'm not the best at it, I love to write even though I lack motivation to really finish anything, and in general I also just love to talk...which is something that took years to bring back out of me.

However...I also want a family some day.  When I see how happy my folks are, and how happy I've seen other folks together (for the most part), that's what I want as well.  I actually envy my folks because they make it look easy, and they've been together for 30 years, since they were in their mid-late twenties.  I'm actually a little jealous because I'm in my early thirties, and I'm still single.

With everything going on lately, I feel like making games is the path to the independent lifestyle that I want. I have lots of ideas for games, but I've always put them on the back-burner because I've been busy with other stuff. Now I'm off work for the holidays, and I'm in a situation where I desperately need to adopt a new and better life fast, so I feel like now's the time to give it a start. I've been putting a lot of hours almost every day to do that, and I hope it starts me off to something successful.

So I know that this topic has kinda been lifeless for a while so I'll just bring it back to life . I dream of becoming a veterinarian and I dream of becoming a photographer just as a hobby. I also dream about show jumping/hunter jumper shows with horses which may come true soon!
