Since the previously unofficial Discord server was regionalized back in October, user masking between the forums and Discord have been completely separate, with the Cabinet handling Citizenship masking on the forums and Discord ops handling masking on the Discord server. This has been the easiest way to do things in the past, but comes with a few problems, the most obvious of which is the possibility that members may have their Citizenship revoked but inappropriately retain their Citizen masking on Discord if I'm not aware that person is masked on both.
Thanks to some recent work I've done learning how to access the Discord API through the site, we're about to change that, but to do that we have to ensure that everyone with Citizenship masking on Discord is linked to a forum account.
Therefore, anyone with Citizen masking on Discord will need to link their Discord on the forums before June 16th if they wish to retain it.How do you do this? Just go your menu (the one with your username, or the one that says Menu on mobile devices), select
Edit Profile, click
Contacts in the top menu row, and then put in your account under
Add Contact, like so:
Service/Website: Discord
Account Name: Your Discord with Discriminator (example: Username#1234)
Account URL: Leave this blank
Permissions: Select who you want to see your username in your profile. If you want to keep it to yourself, you can select the new 'Just Me' option (note that I can still read your username as an administrator).
If you have any questions or need help, please feel free to post here. This is just the latest step in making the Discord an official part of Wintreath, with the security and adherence to Citizenship law that you would expect.
