As I've added more stats to user profiles, I've come to realize that putting them in boxes across the top of the page just wasn't working. For someone that has all the stats filled out, even on widescreen monitors it loops partway to another line and just looks weird. So tonight I changed it so that stats go down the left side of the profile page. I think this looks pretty good, and gives more room to add more stats in the future.

It's a small change, but because I wasn't sure how I wanted to do it I had to try different things out and just experimenting takes awhile. I think it came out improved, though.

Looks pretty good on desktop (though I do miss the pretty colors from the previous iteration of profile stats).

However, it's somewhat broken on mobile:

Usually wouldn't complain about that since I have desktop view selected in the settings anyway, but as i turns out, that setting doesn't apply to the new profile pages.

I tried to keep the boxes on the side and all the colours, but it just didn't work, especially for boxes with a lot of text like location. It's a work in progress though, so I might take some more stabs at it again.

There's some more changes I'd like to try with how the page is structured too, and if that works out I think it'll look better on mobile. Anything having to do with changing profiles is a big project though, lol.

No comment on the lack of desktop site option?

Anyway, just wanted to point out that the "last online" closing square overflows to the next line when the user is offline, at least on my rather large monitor (tested on mobile, and there it's overflowing even when the user is online):

The desktop site option applies to forum pages, while profiles are technically part of the main website (note the lack of /forums/ in the profile URL). Like I said, it's a work in progress at the moment.

In any case, I've made some more additions and changes to profile stats:

• Roles now display in their own custom color.
• If a member has secondary roles, they appear beneath their main role.
• Time last online now counts up to years rather than days.
• Hovering the mouse over the last online time will show the exact time they were last online.

Possibly.  And I aint afraid to admit that I still use Grindr. 

This place has never looked decent on mobile. Texts in posts break out of the constraints of the boxes that posts are supposed to be contained in. To be fair though, the boxes themselves are ridiculously narrow on mobile. I always use the "desktop site" option when I check the site on my phone.

The desktop and mobile sites used to be near-identical, I believe Wintermoot felt it better to try to modify the site for mobile screens though.

Are you talking about a "desktop site" option on your browser or the one Wintermoot put in the forums?

(Also, would definitely love to see the "Force Desktop Version" setting implemented across the website, not just on the forum pages.)
