  • I question why you wish to define fraud and intentional perjury as a high crime when crimes of this category seem to be universally defined under the major crime section, with high crimes saved for treason and treasonous actions. I would be willing to consider this bill if it is redefined as a major crime instead of a high crime.

  • The main reasons for the definition of high crime is to allow for the removal of citizenship. Specifically for fraud, as that could be used to get citizenship.

However if you are committing fraud then you should have to face your citizenship's status

  • I don’t have time right now, but I will have a grammar report on this when I have time. I don’t believe this is ready in its current state, but the idea is okay.

From a quick glance, the first sentence is missing a period, and there is inconsistent capitalization throughout.

  • I sort of feel like we're in our equivalent of a lame duck session right now, so I'm not of a mind to push new legislation through, especially when its sponsor seems to have disappeared.

    Motion to table.

The Chair recognizes @Doc's motion to table. Do we have a second and third?
