We did it nukes won't reach us I don't think!

HAHAHAHA you should have seen their dischord.  "All nukes target here guys."  (Then a link to faction ID 115)

They only managed to muster 7,000 total against us XD

Meanwhile UPPERCUT gets 16,000 on them in like 10 minutes.

That alliance was AWESOME.

Kudos to everyone for putting up a great game, and especially for that last minute defense!

Admittedly I was on a lunch break for the last 30 minutes or so.

Sadly, I had a quiz for the last ten minutes of the game, so I couldn't be there for the end.

Seriously though, I have a partial plan idea I might use next time:

confidential plan

Have 100 or more puppets (some with completely different names), put some in the highest ranking factions and have them attack each other so that those factions destroy each other. This might work on some factions if I can get many puppets in each region that seem unrelated to attack each other. Then with the other puppets, join Wintreath and try to help us get in the top ten.

There were definitely people who were trying that this time. Even in our faction, there were quite a plants trying to provoke other regions into attacking us. The thing is, as diplomacy becomes more stable, this becomes increasingly more difficult.

Yeah I had to exercise some MAJOR blitz-diplomacy last time.  We'd have been so dead to the AA if UPPERCUT wasn't our ally.

Yeah, diplomacy was key. Without it, we would've been wiped out, like we did last time in the Hyperion Nuclear Order when we didn't really do much serious negotiations. If you don't talk with them, all they see is an unknown potential hostile doing well on the leaderboards. And when rogue elements of your faction start attacking them...

Fun fact: Did you know that the Nuclear Winter Alliance shares its faction ID (and thus URL) with a fascist faction from N-Day 1? Me neither!

Holy crap! Good job, guys! I feel bad for not being there, it was both fun and I had a decently big supply of shields. But, we did very well! We should start negotiations for a second alliance with TNP since now

In the next one, I think that we should focus on not having such loose communications, better diplomacy, more aggressive strategies and way more puppets.

Yeah.  AA had like five people with LOADS of puppets each as well as others once they got high in the scoreboard (leapfroggers).

But August targeted us with up to "CNV __" (I think CNV 93?) so I'm assuming he had at least 100 puppets, which is pretty insane, honestly...
