...you totally have though, it's just Justinian rebranding himself for the Game of Thrones theme for the avatars this monthAlso...myargh. I guess I'm just a little like...why wouldn't everyone just play elves, they're being presented as Always The Best types. It's like actively choosing to be human in Arda; why would you when elves are just straight-up superior in every conceivable fashion? (Which, incidentally, is why I've always thought Elros was an idiot)
I'm wondering the same thing Ashton. Like, Hannikal's spell there was supposed to be legitimate, though in the clerical sense of calling upon one's god.
So how do spells work? Is it a magic word type deal or a silent Skyrim magic situation?
I've been tempted to start a fantasy based RP here, though probably with the more traditional choice of dwarves rather than Nords who don't look like Skyrim Nords, except it seemed better if someone who has been here longer to start something like that. I haven't seen you post here before seeing this topic, but it looks like you know what you're doing. Was very tempted to join, but you have enough participants already, forum RPs can get crowded with too many people. Though my idea would have been more dungeon/action based, I think I'll be skimming your RP if not reading all of it since you have an interesting start so far.

You have to summon them and make it worth their time, and even then very few people are able to since, you know, the Elves captured and then constantly tried to kill them. It's more of a deal with the devil kind of thing. Ashton Mercer posted on August 08, 2017, 09:01:33 PMSo how do spells work? Very few people in the setting have a big pool of natural magicka, so you'll probably be glugging them alot. In addition, the Knights have ways of dispelling magic much like Templars in Dragon Age (and in both, it's mostly a trade secret). That's partially why Magisters make it a habit to keep them on their good side. They don't want to one guy who's able to kill them not liking them very much. Also, hand amputation is a pretty effective way of getting rid of magical ability. Spellcasting is pretty much impossible after that unless you're able to find a magitek prosthesis.

Has nothing to do with this RP but what exactly is the theme for the avatars, just game of thrones or historical game of thrones or what? I need to know which Dothraki to use!!!
