Now that we have two candidates for Delegate, we can actually ask questions and have a campaign! This election is important to me because the delegate has a few important niches...it's the position most invested in our region page, the connection between our regional community on NS and the government that largely stays on the forums, and of course voice in the World Assembly, something that delegates in other regions do take pride in.

And so I'm curious, since neither candidate has made a campaign topic, what are your plans if you win? What would you like to focus on specifically? What ideas do you have coming into the position?

I was unaware that campaign topics were protocol!!  

Also, I shall focus on getting climate legislation passed in the WA.  But that's only if the majority of Wintreath is even in favour of climate legislation.  Which I hope is true, but I'm not totally sure.  (My mind is currently on climate for quite obvious reasons irl... :/ )

Also I'd just probably ask the people what to do once there.  But I shall create a campaign topic now then, too!!

They're not absolutely required, but because it's important to me that the position is active I want to make sure I'm voting for someone that will be active and has put some thought into what they want to do and how they will work with the Cabinet.

I was taken out by several rounds of killer death cold that first struck with great impunity nigh upon a week ago, but I have rallied and come to answer!

One of the main things I'd like to focus on is updating the documentation for the region. At the moment, there's quite a lot of old and outdated information cluttering our regional page, particularly with respect to the factbooks and guides, which adds a hurdle to new member participation. The more streamlined our regional page is, the easier new recruits can jump into Wintreath, and hopefully the more new blood we'll see sticking around for longer.

Next on the agenda would be greater participation on the RMB. At the moment, the role-players are pretty much the only ones actively using the RMB, so tying in the RMB into regional events, announcements, and public votes would be a great way to revitalize it, I think, especially as a way to foster greater involvement in the WA.

Like BraveSirRobin, I am also for greater involvement in the WA, though I have no specific agenda when it comes to getting legislation passed. With the region as long withdrawn from WA as it has been, I think a more gradual easing into participation would be prudent, with discussions about the proposals in the WA forums being discussed on the RMB, as well as votes taken on which proposals the Delegate should support.
