  • I feel like having three games running at the same time in Wintreath may not be the best idea...

  • I think you've done a great keeping things going with Spyfall, @North, and I know I appreciate that you've become kind of a leader in the area with hosting games and stuff. :) I don't think Spyfall requires the most commitment so it may be ok to go ahead and do another one, but it should be noted that we've been in a bit of a lull in general for the last month or two and that effects how many people we can get with any game.

I'd be curious to know though, is there anything we can do game-wise or website-wise to make Spyfall an easier game to get people into or to keep them involved with? Is it just me, or do the games tend to get harder to follow along with when they go longer?

  • I think its just hard to follow. I think it will best best to shelve it for a month.

  • As someone who has just joined the forums, skyfall sounds like a great game, I'd love to get involved!

  • What if there were someone to record what questions were asked to who and how they answered, and listed it in one post? Then people wouldn't have to scour the entire topic to review the game up to that point, and maybe games wouldn't start to run ragged after a period of time.

  • One issue I saw was that people were taking days (sometimes, nearly a week) to respond. Perhaps we could enforce stricter time limits? For me, at least, the interest was lost largely because of the big time gaps that made it difficult to keep track of what was going on.

I'd be up for doing that. I don't think I'll be playing Spyfall anytime soon, but they're always fun to watch.

That seems like a good idea, makes it much more accessible.

I know for me, I wasn't always timely because it wasn't just typing out a question...I had to go back, review the entire topic, and then figure out who I either suspected or believed hadn't been grilled hard enough yet, so it was a 20 minute thing just to make one post. =/

Right, but the time it takes to review earlier threads would also be shorter if the game were fresher on people's minds... Plus, if we had time limits, then there'd be more incentive to be timely and put in that commitment to answer/ask the question.

  • Or half the people playing would end up disqualified. :P

I dunno man, feels like getting most people to put in commitment toward much of anything lately has been a struggle.

  • I think that we shouldn't force activity, that will never end well. Irl stuff pops up(I just spent the night in hospital then had an operation, clearly I couldn't go on NS or forums), people are busy, and there is always an issue when something done for fun(a forum GAME) starts trying to eat into people's irl time. We should be making games as accessible as possible, as per Wintermoot's suggestion, not any less accessible.

  • I recommend that we strongly encourage people to check up on the thread every day. If people have something IRL, they can just say that they will be busy, and when they might be able to participate again. That way, people can play without committing more than a few minutes per day.

That being said, if that is too long, I personally could probably check in 2 or 3 times per day, and spend longer than a few minutes on line. Spyfall seems like a great game; reminds me a bit of Town of Salem, but with less toxicity and weird memes.
