Tonto Kowalski settled into his cabin for the night, not expecting anyone to come. Afterall, he had nothing to give them. He was just a native from one of Wintreath's local tribes. Soon after falling asleep, though, a mysterious man entered the room. He silently strangled the sleeping native, without any struggle. The pirate then left cabin swiftly, without any trace.
Aragonn, Aka Tonto Kowalski, a cabinmate, has been chose to be killed by the pirates.

Now why on Earth was Aragonn killed? Could it simply be because he's such a strong player?

I'd think so. He's usually pretty good at figuring things out, so I'd assume the pirates wanted to get rid of him before he had a chance.

Hmm, if I follow Pengu's theory about noob players, and couple that with Aragonn's vote, I'd be inclined to vote for Ashton.

On the other hand, I'm deeply troubled by Pengu for some reason. He seemed to be pushing that scenario a bit heavily.

Let's get some thoughts.

Of course, someone who's been around the block as often as Pengu probably wouldn't draw that much attention to themselves. That could be what he wants us to think, though.

That said, I concede it's rash. This game is just so inactive that I'm willing to do just about anything to liven it up and get arguments, counter arguments and speculation flowing.

It wasn't just a question about the amnesiac, though. You took the time again to share your belief that said role could be inactive, too. You're making a great many assumptions there. But I see that you are correct insofar as implicating the noobs. You only mentioned it that once.

But to answer your question regarding that particular role, after rereading the rules, it doesn't seem defined all that well: the rules state that the amnesiac loses if he "never" chooses a role from amongst those who have died, so it's not clear when he/she actually has to choose. Can they choose in the final day or night phase? In the last few seconds of the game?

They can choose to become a role during any night phase, but if they haven't chosen a role by the end of the game, they lose.
