Further if regular roleplays get forgotten and they loose interest, does that not mean that perhaps people here don't care for roleplaying as much as your idea might require?

I would like to point out something here. Roleplays die out for a variety of reasons (eg. time restraints, disagreements) and to go for a sweeping statement and proclaim it as purely a "lack of interest" is an oversimplification. Of course, I don't exactly agree with mandatory region-wide roleplay systems, though I would prefer to wait for Belmont to flesh out on the idea before condemning it hastily.

So, questions for the candidates.

1) Which is your favourite aspect of the region?
2) What is your main legislative goal should you be elected?
3) Name a personal characteristic and describe how it will be beneficial for the next Underhusen.

I would like to point out something here. Fair enough, the statement was rather generalized, which caused it to become rather false. However my response was mainly responding to the first two issues he has noticed with Roleplays.

The openness

To fix our laws in the areas they need to be fixed and hopefully get some changes in place.

@Sapphiron could you clarify what you mean by personal characteristic? Are you looking for a specific personality trait or something that they have. The former would be more along the lines of being passionate or something, the latter would be more along the lines of something they can do, an example is an intimate knowledge of our laws.

Either is fine.

My favorite aspect of the region is the welcoming you can get with the members who are active.  I think about with more people being active, we can be more warm and welcoming.

My main legislative goal is to work on a regional commerce plan.

The characteristic I have is being determined.  This is beneficial for me to help bring people together and work compromises to benefit people on a whole.

For a personality characteristic I am passionate about the law and legal system, and of Wintreath. Although I do recognize this can be a bit troublesome as I get too passionate at times, which is something I am trying to work on. This is beneficial because it means I am willing to put forth effort in order to make sure that the UH does it's job, while making sure that it puts forth bills of high quality.

For something that I have/know, it's my detailed knowledge of the laws. I have been here for the creation of a lot of our laws, and have had a hand in drafting a great many, as an example I am named explicitly in the Code of Criminal Laws for my help in creating the act.  I have also been used by previous sessions of the Underhusen to help drafting or to see if something might be considered illegal. As such this allows me to help drafting along and also helps me know about potential weak areas in our laws.

I would like to pose one last questions to my fellow candidates.  Moving forward in Wintreath, Do you see any opportunity for change in the region?

1) Which is your favourite aspect of the region?

My favorite aspect would probably be the people, people here are kind and fun to be around which i think is key to any good region.

2) What is your main legislative goal should you be elected?

Well i have a lot of ideas that i hope to accompish but thats long term as i plan to be here for a long time. My main legislative goal this term is to establish a working economy here in Wintreath.(I'm working with erik here and soon i hope to work with the rest of the UH)

3) Name a personal characteristic and describe how it will be beneficial for the next Underhusen.

I think the trait would be Innovative. I have plenty of ideas and i like to think outside of the box for problems. I think this kind of trait is essential because i think this term is going to be a bit different than those before.

Moving forward in Wintreath, Do you see any opportunity for change in the region?

Oh yes, I think that in any community that has been around for a long time like ours change is essential so we don't become stagnant.

I love how open and friendly we are, everyone is easy to talk to, fun to be around and almost always willing to listen, its a great community.

2) What is your main legislative goal should you be elected?

I intend to attempt to write some laws changing what the government can and can't do, I expect a lot of it to be controversial and not always directly beneficial, however I hope it'll spur on government activity as well as perhaps provide inspiration and motivation for better laws.

I am quite skeptical... and can be hard to immediately convince, but if you argue a point well and can defend against my attacks, I'll most likely be behind you.

I see lots of opportunities for change, and change is essential in any system; however that doesn't mean all change will be of benefit or apparent, so it's defiantly something we'll have to watch carefully. Either way interesting times (as always )

I think that spirituality is a very personal thing, there should be freedoms to worship how you want.

Ahem I would like to ask all candidates, especially including @Eldarion , about their thoughts on the ongoing Crisis in Ainur. This is important as Ainur is a region with which we hold a treaty with. I also wish to ask what they think Wintreath, as region which holds a treaty with Ainur, should do.

For those that do not know there is a Crisis going on in Ainur where the King-Emeritus, Augustus, is currently subverting the legitimate/recognized government of Ainur in order to remove all of those not loyal to him, after appointing the current king of Ainur. This has also lead to many members of Ainur joining other regions, of which there seem to be three main ones.

I'm not entirely sure what to do about it... I know I really don't like it, but there isn't much we can do and I guess this is always a concern in a UCR. I defiantly think it's an issue for the next UH to address and I would like to look into disassociating ourselves with the whole mess, probably in the form of repealing the treaties if it comes to that...

However I'll also add Foreign Affairs is far from my area of expertise so it's probably best if some people with more experience in that area tackle this problem.

Its a mess. An utter mess. But I don't think there is anything Wintreath can do about it. In the end its for Ainur to decide what Ainur does. Though if I do feel there is something Wintreath can do, I will not hesitate to call upon you.

I have a question for the candidates: Do you believe that it is just for the King-Emeritus of Ainur to ban those who leave his region from ever coming back out of spite?
