I personally think we need to have an honest and frank discussion about harassment. Especially summary banning. I'm against summary banning and feel that we need an alternative. May I know my fellow members thoughts?

Well, harassment is defined as "aggressive pressure or intimidation," which I feel is pretty straightforward. If something ever goes so far as to be considered harassment, then I feel like banning would be the appropriate response. What else could be done to match the seriousness of the situation? Besides, I don't think this is really up to us -- it's up to Wintermoot. Also, it was brought up that this is the first banning in Wintreath's 2 or 3 year existence, so it's not like it happens in anything more than the most dire circumstances.

What else can be said than what's already been brought up in the other threads? I agree with others that we should just let this die.

I'm just as opposed to summary banning too, but when it comes to sexual harassment that's the best resolution possible. We have no right to invade the victim's privacy; resolving cases of harassment is a matter best left in the capable hands of actual forum administration, when it comes to that sort of thing.

I'm not entirely sure where we're going with this. Are we trying to formulate an actual law out of this?
