Scientiam has been banned from forums and IRC for OOC sexual harassment of female players. Due to the serious nature of the situation, no further details will be provided.

I sincerely apologize to the community that I had to violate my pledge not to summarily ban Citizens, but I felt that the situation was serious enough that I had no other choice. Please believe me when I say it was not a decision that I took lightly.

Probably, as well as close down his consulate for his region, and write out his characters in RPs if he is part of any.

This is most unfortunate, but I understand the reasoning.  I do hope that if the victims consent, that we see the evidence that led to this sound reasoning.

While I understand that you probably don't want to talk about it, given my history with summary bans I would like a little more information than " This guy is banned, ask no questions, k thnx bye." If you don't want to reveal more information that's fine but if it's not too much trouble a little more info would put my mind at ease.

I really appreciate you maintaining the privacy of those affected, Wintermoot. As for the request of the proceedings, it, being a highly personal matter, is up to the consent of the victims should they wish to come forward, and iff they wish to do so, the logs will be released.

Yes.

If a vacancy occurs in the Underhusen, a special election to fill the vacancy shall be held within seven days of the vacancy being created unless there are fewer than twenty-one days remaining in the Underhusen's term.

Keep in mind we did also choose five seats for this term, so we need to have five seats to fulfill the law we passed.

I respect this decision, since sexual harassment is not something that can be taken lightly.

And I will repeat it: In order to respect the privacy and confidentiality of those involved, it is asked to please not ask for any information regarding this.  It's disrespectful being as it's a very sensitive subject for those involved.

I know WM and I know this is something that couldn't have been easy for him to do, but in the end when it comes to a case this severe, there's really no easy way to do this.

A Revocation or Trial requires presenting evidence publicly to everyone for the cases to have merit.  This means completely breaching that confidentiality and privacy of the victim(s) involved and potentially damaging/hurting them further, which is the last thing that we want to do.

Therefore, this really is the only logical way to deal with this in a way that the victims will be able to keep their dignity, even if it may not be seen as fair to the person charged.

I'm sorry that it came to this, Wintermoot, and to those who were involved in this incident.  Whatever Sci did to invoke this, it was an absolutely shitty thing on his part to have caused such distress.  To those involved...I'm sorry that you had to go through with whatever it was that he put you through.  Nobody deserves to go through any type of sexual harassment, and know that it's not something Wintreath takes for granted in the slightest.

And as Wintermoot said in IRC:

We want Wintreath to remain a safe, friendly, and welcoming place for people to be.  We care about you guys and your well-being, and as Wintermoot has shown, anything that seriously threatens your safety, security, or overall emotional state of being in such a manner will be dealt with swiftly.

As far as everything else goes, to the victims, I am disappointed in RedRevenant, and sorry that the victims had to go through what I can only infer was a very uncomfortable and inappropriate experience.

Yeah, for this action to be taken, whatever happened must have been horrendous. I can't even imagine what must have happened. At least it's been dealt with. My condolences to the victims.

Actually, I felt the same thing about him, to be honest.  I really couldn't put my finger on it, but the more I saw him around both in IRC and messageboard, I started getting some weird vibes about him.

To be honest, I even started to feel regret for  voting for him in the UH, though I really don't know why since he didn't seem all that bad.   

Well for one, he was relatively inactive, always saying he was dealing with "something".
