Ahem. Members of the Underhusen. Elect a Speaker! There is an urgent matter which requires your attention, and you can't tackle it until you elect a Speaker.

The Speaker should have a firm grasp of the laws in the region, and where to find them. Therefore, it would be preferable for him to have experience. Take care not to let your reach exceed your grasp.

While I understand that you're having fun deliberating who should be Speaker, and making jokes, that urgent matter I spoke of isn't going to resolve itself. Gerrick so far looks like the only one who isn't letting his ambition get the better of him. Compromises are going to have to be made for the sake of efficiency, and the region's well-being. So get to it.

Hmm, it appears you are correct. I had always thought the law in question to indicate a maximum of 48 hours for people to stand, but I now see it is a fixed 48 hours. My apologies.

Still, when the voting does happen, please be sensible about it.

I do agree in a sense.  The Speaker is a serious role to be taken thusly since they're essentially the voice and leader of the UH.

That being said though, there's nothing wrong with having a bit of fun with it.  There's a strict deadline for campaigning and voting, so it's not like they'd be spending the entire term playing "Who will be the leader?"  I think it's great that most of the UH is interested in it, especially since this is probably the first time in history that the UH has had more than 2 people gunning for the job.

Now there are 3 people running for Speaker following my Huckabee move.

To be honest I rather think it's a good sign to see so many of this term's UH contributing and involving themselves in the Speakership race; seems like they're all active and willing to get involved as far as I'm concerned!
