How about the area in between Witchmond and the United Acarian Empires' Imperial Canal? It could be divided into north and south by those two lakes.

Great question! And by that I mean... I hadn't even considered it. In the past, my solution has been to just expand the map. I'd have to come up with some IC reasoning for that, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

Man-made islands are now a thing, for the record. They have been for awhile. Just putting that out there.

That's true, but it seems like it would probably be a very temporary solution. Throwing on another continent would also be a temporary solution, but it would last far longer. The continents obviously won't be manmade, but we can say they always existed and just weren't relevant to the WU until recently. The solution doesn't have to be either/or, though; more islands will probably be added in.

Yeah, and I can do that. I don't know how we'd be able to explain it IC, we'd have to adjust our borders to accommodate it, and I doubt it'd create a continent or anything, but altering the sea level is something I can do on the website I got the map from.

Making new continents would be best for more land in one concentrated area -- just wanted to make it known that decreasing sea level is an option. We could also do both, too, if needed.

I am willing to make a deal for the Southern area of my mainland claim but not for the island or the northern coast. pm me and we can discuss it

Hmm, well I was definitely planning on a canal, but a shared one? You'd have to convince me on that one because I could just have one built solely in my land. It'd have to be beneficial to me enough that would make it unnecessary to build one just in my land.
