Gerrick, Aragonn and tau have my votes.

We still don't have any real rules for GMs, though.  @Laurentus can remain in his position if he doesn't want to vacate it.  I think that's what he said in his resignation, too...

"I'm resigning from all my posts, effective immediately, and I'm also renouncing my citizenship."

Pulled that straight from his farewell speech.

Below that he put this though:
"This doesn't have to be good-bye. The RPers will still see me around, and I'll still take part in gaming discussions when I see a good one. I'll simply be ignoring certain members to preserve peace."

If Laurentus really does want to get rid of his position immediately, @Aragonn and @taulover have my vote so far...

I think that it could be a good idea for each Gamemaster to be part of a sort-of "RP Council" or something, and then for the members of the RPing community here to elect the Guild Master from that, perhaps.  Just an idea, though...

If your idea is for the GMs to be equals, that's my idea as well.

Considering that any Gamemaster could have zero experience with RP, I'm not sure that is a good idea. It is also good to have a supreme arbiter to break stalemates.

Gov, you aren't part of the guild, and I've offered you many opportunities to get involved, which you declined. This isn't my decision to make anyway, but I think I speak for the guild when I say that it would be an incredibly odd thing to do to appoint you when you aren't 1. part of the guild hierarchy and 2. active in any RPs.

@Chanku, you aren't part of the guild either, so keep your nose out of our affairs. If you want to sling mud at Gov, do it the fuck away from the guild.

As I said in my PM Laurentus, I never declined.  I just have been busy with RL stuff.  I still want to RP and have an interest in this.
