Ok so Hulu users Animaniacs (rebooted) is NOT that bad despite the pop culture, give it a try!

also to DirecTV users (I use both ) the Santa Tracker is up and it had a big update, very weird to me, the collectibles look like stickers unlike last year when they looked like part of the background, Arts and Crafts area added where the Music area was, and Books and Music merged.

As someone who grew up watching the original animaniacs, I respectfully disagree. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the reboot is lacking in the comedy and plot department thus far. They haven't even attempted to wiggle in some of the running gags or introduce anything that could be a recurring plotpoint. It feels like the writers tried to play into the US political climate far too much. Further, the dynamic between the siblings is completely changed, and while i had hopes for Pinky and the Brain being redeeming, it's just... okay. It's not bad, but it's nothing special.

Overall I'd give the reboot a solid 4/10. Not horrible, but can't hold a candle to the original.

Well you are an OG fan and I can take your word for it, but I have seen the second episode and I can agree the politics are just.... god no but I still think Wakko is AMAZING

People want to join a place where they feel like they can belong, and being diverse shows that many different kinds of people can feel that way in our community. In fact, it's one of the main reasons people say they join our region/community, and we're happy that we're a place that so many different kinds of people feel that they can belong.

I went in to upgrade my phone yesterday, and the stock situation was terrible. My only two options were the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and iPhone 12 Pro Max, so I thought long and hard, and ended up taking the Note 20. Not the Note 20 Ultra, the regular Note 20.

When I researched it, the main complaints people had about it was the $1000 price, the 1080p resolution, the 60Hz refresh rate, the plastic back, and the cut-down camera.

It seems most of those reviewers missed the point with the price, though, except for Dave Lee, who hit the nail on the head when he said that Samsung phones go on sale or get marked down by carriers almost immediately. This is exactly what happened in my case. I'm paying only R100 more each month than for my S9 (that's about $5-10), and we don't have the weird concessions people have in the States, where it comes without a charger and earphones in the box and shit. Not only does it come with a really nice pair of earphones and charger, it also comes with extra buds that I can replace the default ones with, in case they're too big or small.

I have thoroughly hated Samsung's curved displays for the last year and 6 months, because of how much it affects grip, how it distorts the colour of images on the side, and how easily it breaks when there is even a slight fall. I'm glad to report there is nothing like that on this phone.

The 1080p mode is a bit less sharp, but you honestly don't notice it in most cases, and it just saves battery, to boot.

No one in their right mind should have a phone without a cover, so the complaint about plastic is the dumbest thing I've ever heard, and I don't like glass anyway, because again, it sure looks pretty until it takes a fall.

The camera is still fucking amazing.

So that leaves the 60Hz refresh rate as the only complaint I agree with.

Honestly, if you can find this phone on as aggressive a sale as I managed to, it is worth it.

I'm glad that the topic has been revived, even if it isn't with the best news ever.

When I first joined here, I was in the midst of a big career change (from law to engineering). I've since completed this career change and I've been working for an engineering firm ever since as a controls specialist.

Something I've been realizing lately is that I was happier as a student than I am as a worker. I didn't have nearly as much as I do now but life was so much simpler.

I think as we get older we start craving simplicity...maybe just because the everyday life of an adult is so complicated. So many things to remember to do, that have to be done, in so many different areas of our lives. When we were students, our lives mostly focused on one area: school, and it was mostly managed for us by others. And having more by itself is more complicated...more things to manage, keep track of, clean. It's no wonder minimalism is such a movement nowadays. Sometimes more isn't better.
