So, I've formally cut the positions of Queen Consort and Crown Prince for now. If and when I feel the time is right to fill them, I will...but until then, the vacant positions have become more trouble than they're worth, methinks.

I appreciate the sentiment, but in contrast to how I am sexually, I tend to go slowly when it comes to relationships. Even RP ones, especially considering the cultural importance of the royal family.

The reason I did this is because I'm afraid that the positions being listed as vacant has lead to a 'competition' for the role of Queen/Prince Consort and especially Crown Prince, and it shouldn't be. I'm only going to fill the position of Crown Prince when I feel absolutely certain that if something were to happen to me the region would be in good hands, and Queen/Prince Consort is tough to fill because Leuth was just so great at it. She's always been a close friend, and we worked marvelously as a RP couple. They're just not positions to compete over or aspire to, and leaving them listed as vacant gives that impression.

And Gov, I won't explain my reasoning why hasn't received the position, but I will say I've seriously considered at least five or six people since Charax initially left NS. It's not a position I've ever taken lightly.

Your reasoning and explanation has fascinated me, WM. It is reasonable in a way, but yet quite personal. I honestly see so many people that can be in the role of people, but can't entirely fill the role like your expectations for Charax.

In fairness, I was picky about my NS families even before Wintreath came along, so yeah, it is a touch personal for me.

And I do have high standards for the Crown Prince position as well...having put in a lot of long hours and hundreds of dollars of money into it (not to mention my heart and soul), I want to be sure the region is in great hands if something happens to me. This region is my home and my baby...gotta be careful who I pass it along to.
