I am, frankly, pleased that the position of Delegate remains officially unfilled.
All due respect to the government, but I find governing an online community as a whole to be thoroughly something left up to people who give a shit, and not something subject to the whims and vagaries of someone's passing interest in, say, running for Underhusen (which is meant to serve as an example, not an indictment of the current Underhusen, which in my mind has done spectacularly insofar as they haven't legislated anything silly yet just for the purpose of making it look like they're doing something - a major problem with managers, for example, who feel the need to change things just so it looks like they're doing their job, even if the system as-it-was worked perfectly).
Should nobody care enough to run for Delegate, it suggests one of two things; either the people who do care have too many other commitments to run, or nobody cares enough to run in the first place. If the latter, it then either signals 'this is perceived to be a fundamentally unimportant position', which seems possible to me given my views on the WA (a waste of time filled by fussbudgets who like to dictate to people while pretending it is not only in said people's best interests, but in fact their greatest desire) and the relative irrelevance of the Delegate given an active Founder, or that NS has at this point become sufficiently unshackled from this community's identity that this is less the 'online arm of the Wintrean region' and more that the NS region is more the 'NS arm of Wintreath'.

The Delegacy in Wintreath is to my understanding less about the WA and more just managing Wintreath's NS page and community. But perhaps I'm wrong.

I think what people don't realize though is that even if the region has become the NS arm of Wintreath, it's the only arm we have at the moment. We still depend on NS for things like recruitment, and it's the only off-forum activity we're consistently invested in, even on paper. As a community, we need to be giving the region more attention than we are, or the community is going to stagnate and decline. For what it's worth, I've started doing some of the things I had hoped the delegate or some of the ministries would have done, such as recruitment, running polls, and those sorts of thing, but it's honestly not the best use of my time considering that those are pretty low-level things anyone could do. =/

In any case, what was originally on my mind was that I had a dream last night...Joanna Gaines (from that HGTV show) was a pimp of gay whores, and her number one ur...employee was Piglet (from Team Liquid). Literally all I remember is that image of Piglet on her stage dancing around fully clothed for the men around the stage, and I was watching from afar. The dream was more weird than anything, lol.

Perhaps we can kill two birds with one stone: have @Red Mones do "daily" (or little less frequent) polls on our NS page so that our NS page is active with that and so we don't need a new forum for the polls. Then he can just link to the polls in that thread he already made so those of us who don't regularly go the NS page can still stay updated on them. He'd need to be made a regional officer, though, but you could just give him authority over polls and name him the "Daily Pollster" or some such.

I have nothing against the polls idea, although we'll also need the regional poll for region stuff...like the MOBA poll that's up now.

I'm anxious, maybe a little scared. Since July of 2015 I haven't been able to go more than three months without a seizure. I'm in month three right now and I still have a couple weeks before month three is over. What if I have another one before then? What if I don't? Will I have another one after? What will happen if I don't?

You'll continue on making the best of whatever situation happens, like you always have. I know that a seizure must be a rather traumatic event, but I know you'll persevere and be you regardless of what happens.

That's a given. But if I break past the three month barrier what would it mean for me? For my life? Could it be the start of a much desired seizureless period of time extending several months, possibly years?

The way I see it, you can either spend your time wondering or go out and live that life...whether you have one a day, a month, a year, or a decade from now shouldn't change how you live life.
